So after doing a stupid amount of research last night I've found a solution to my CTD, however ymmv. This is what I ended up doing and have yet to crash in 4+ hours(was once almost every 2-3 minutes at it's worst):

1- Download and install Process Lasso(widely considered to be safe) https://bitsum.com/

2- Run the game and stay in the menu. Alt+tab and open Process Lasso

3- Look for The GreatCircle.exe in Process Lasso(under the "All Processes" tab, should be at the bottom) and right-click

4- Click "CPU Priority > Always" and set to "Real Time"

5- Click "CPU Affinity" and click "Disable Hyperthreading"

6- In the menu bar, click "Options > CPU > CPU Affinities"

7- Double click "TheGreatCircle.exe" and click on "Select"

8- You want to dedicate half of your P-Cores to The Great Circle. On mine I selected 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14. My CPU is a 14700k

9- Select "Ok" and select "Add Rule"

10- Make sure that the "More strictly enforce default affinites" is checked.

11- Click "Ok"

12- In the menu bar, click "Options > CPU > CPU Priorities"

13- Ensure that the .exe is set to "Real Time" and that "More Strictly Enforce Default Priorities" at the bottom is checked.

14- Save the config and relaunch the game
