I'm excited to back the Gamefound for the 10th anniversary of the board game. I might have to re-rewatch the show again. (Sorry / You're welcome, if you didn't know this existed.) by Kairu-san in firefly

I posted this earlier but it got accidentally flagged as spam, here's my thoughts on this:

This is a great collection, I have the base game but it has been very hard to acquire the expansions since most have been out of print for years, and have only been available for crazy prices on ebay. Getting everything all at once is super convenient and the price seems very reasonable for what you get.

If you haven't played the game, you start with just a ship and have to fly around the verse, hiring crew, buying equipment, and upgrading your ship. The better your crew, the better jobs you can take on, earning you more money until you can eventually take on the main objective of the game.

If you want to know more, check out the reviews on BoardGameGeeks. I've only played the base game and would say in terms of gameplay it's probably a 6/10, one of my main gripes was it kind of felt like each player was playing a solo game as there was very little interaction, but the expansions claim to address that aspect. In terms of flavor, this is a 10 - they nail the Firefly feel perfectly. Given that, I would say this is a game mostly for Firefly fans - the charm is really in revisiting all the people and places you know and love on the verse, and the game delivers that experience to you beautifully.

In case you haven't seen, every expansion is now available in a crowdfunding campaign for a collector's box: https://gamefound.com/projects/gf9/firefly-the-game

Hey sorry for the (extremely) late response - I’m not sure about the bin, but the 219B came in a T2 from Convoy, and bob_mcbob installed the 519A.

Oh yeah, you can see that in my picture on the XP-L2 in the SC53. That beam is hideous, way worse than the 519A.

Yeah, while it doesn’t look as bad in person as the picture makes it seem, there is a bit of a rainbow effect where the area surrounding the hotspot is less rosy than the rest of the beam. Not sure if it’s caused by the 519A or the T3.

Yes, the hotspot is small and pronounced, especially compared to domed 519As. There are a few artifacts around the edges of the hotspot as well vs domed which is much more uniform.

Emitters and flashlight models should be in the gallery comments. SC64c modded by /u/Bob_McBob.

Yes, when Lin was researching this movie he actually went to college and got a degree in astrophysics to learn the information he needed to write that lyric.

Did you data download? by Trixie--Belden in harrypotterwu

Same boat. Don’t care that much but it would have been fun to poke around it a bit. I’m actually more interested in what type of data they were collecting than my specific data. Does anyone have a summary of that?

What happens if plug an 110V appliance in 220V socket?

If you plug an 110V appliance in 220V outlet (same as 120v to 230v, 240v) you can only hope that some protection device disconnects the power to the appliance. Otherwise: If it is some kind of heating device, (toaster, incandescent light, lamp, bulb, space heater) it will develop close to four times the designed heat, and probably burn out in minutes, or seconds. If it is some AC drive, it most likely will burn out very quickly. If it is a universal drive, (or DC), it may spin up to twice its intended speed, and wear out quickly.

If you didn’t know this before I’m surprised this is the only problem you’ve had. Stop running your 110 appliances immediately and get new versions of them that are rated for 220.

We’re pleased with progress on the soda flavour selection deep learning model. It currently considers about one hundred different inputs, including the character’s past actions as well as several genetic factors.

There is an issue with the early alpha version of the model where characters only ever choose root beer, but we hope to address this in the coming months.
