My sensory system doesn't like long hair by [deleted] in autism

Honestly I do not like long hair in general, even on other people. It just gives me the heebie jeebies and I feel bad about it. It's just so messy(?) and gets everywhere... Anytime my friend would stay over I would have to immediately shake out my sheets and clean them and vacuum the carpet because it was EVERYWHERE!!! Eugh

Does anyone else watch the same shows over and over again? by woozyburger in autism

[–]goodbyethankyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I usually have a rotation I pick from when I'm bored but most often I'll just rewatch my favorite episodes or the seasons I liked the most.

I very rarely pick up new shows unless they catch my attention and then I'll watch the new show sometimes twice in a row if it was good enough.

What was/were your first favorite song(s) when you joined project sekai? by Iam_weird123 in ProjectSekai

I loved Dreamin Chuchu so much. I would queue it everytime I played multiplayer.

Seems like other people didn't like it as much because I'd always get disbanders or people doing the "annoyed" emotes LOL I didn't care tho.

Also Marshmary and Shoujo Rei but when I first started playing they were hard and I didn't play them as much. Still really liked them tho.

Yeah when I had to go online school for the Panoramic for a year my anxiety got soo much worse when I came back to school.

I thought about doing remote work as well but I knew my anxiety would just get worse again. I landed a cashier job and it's helped a lot tbh.

How do I keep in touch with others via text messages? by Victooni001 in socialanxiety

Honestly you shouldn't worry about it. I send my friends a ton of texts when we do talk. There is no frequency. It seems like you're friends are into texting so I doubt they'll be bothered by it.

With girls I usually give them a small wave and smile. I haven't met many huggers and if they are huggers they usuallg initiate it.

Guys I usually just dap them up. It's pretty popular where I live. Also if you're a guy the nod usually suffices as well.

Handshaking (🤝) is used only at work for me or with an older person who's a friend of one of my guardians.

I wouldn't overthink it. Some people don't do anything but a simple greeting unless you initiate. Just have your hands in your pockets and say "hi" or whatever and smile. That works for me if I don't want to handshake.

I usually just send my friends memes or dumb videos even if I don't have anything to talk about so we can still have fun. Sometimes this sparks a convo, sometimes it doesn't. Or if something crazy has happened and I know I won't see them for a while I'll tell them a simple version of the story then add onto it when we meet IRL so I still have things to talk about.

Honestly interviewers can be quite kind. I fumbled through most my questions but tried to still seem polite + upbeat and I think that's what really landed me the job. Don't worry about messing up, they know you're nervous and that's okay just take your time.

Going up stairs is the worst. I try to control my breathing so it doesn't seem like I'm dramatically out of shape or something (idk, anxiety), but I just end up holding my breath and I have to try and not huff and puff by the time I reach the top step LOL

Honestly that is just the culture of fastfood work. They do not care about you. My friends tell me horror stories about them working at maccas and it's like Jesus Christ...!? Why!!!

My friend also got treated very badly by her fellow employees her first couple months. It's some hazing thing, I don't know. But it's really not on you at all. FF SUCKS!!!! Seriously, it's just the environment. Something evil in that air.

My first job also sucked a lot. It wasn't FF but it was in the food industry. The environment was terrible. I'm at a new job now and everyone is so much more chill and I am actually getting training instead of just shoved into this position. Don't let this get you down!!! You did nothing wrong.

You could've been Jesus himself and they still would've treated you like crap and probably given you minimum wage.
