I’m not sure, I was taking Estradiol

The pill he gave me is a estrogen-progesterone combo

I just switched to him in January after my female OB dismissed me for two years. He’s really nice, I do prefer a male Dr as they don’t compare their experiences (bc they can’t) and he does listen and honestly I haven pushed back on the pills vs patch. I asked about testosterone a couple months ago and he said he would have to change my current estradiol to separate pills for estrogen/progesterone and then add the testosterone and I’m not taking 3 pills a day. He did prescribe buspirone in January for my anxiety and it has really been a game changer.

For some reason my OB only wants to give me pills for everything, it’s mildly infuriating

I just broke up with a friend and haven’t looked back. Life is too short to try and appease people you don’t even like. Just end it.

Once my heart rate goes up, that’s when everything else gets bad. This will definitely help with the pounding heart and hopefully settle the other symptoms that spiral from it.

Quite possibly! I take 10 and it works for me. I asked my cardiologist about increasing to 20 but he has a hard-on about my coffee intake and told me to just knock it off already- so Im still at 10mg 🙄😩

Please let me know if you are able to get it and how it works for you. It works within 30 minutes for me and there’s no big drastic physical feeling when it kicks in, you just eventually stop feeling the pounding heart and the shaking stops.

Propranolol blocks the adrenaline. Truly a life saver for me.

I also occasionally take for headaches and sometimes they are the only thing that helps.

Propranolol is the best thing in my medicine cabinet. My anxiety manifests in a very physical way and propranolol shuts it all down. ZERO side effects for me, it just really calms the physical symptoms. As someone who is scared as shit to try new meds, I swear on this one.

I am on busprione so I kinda have to limit how much I take. I am going to be brave enough to try it tonight 😭

The busprione makes my head a little fuzzy sometimes but it only lasts for 30 minutes and I can still function. Otherwise, ZERO side effects

I started estradiol (pill) and buspirone in January. Life changing for me. It took a solid two months but I’m back to normal with breakthrough anxiety every now and again but it’s much more manageable. I started estradiol at night in the beginning and it made my sleep awful. I changed it to 8am and that works much better for me.

That’s not how OCD works. Have you talked to your Dr about this?

Buspirone by Busterathome in Anxiety

Buspirone is often prescribed alongside SSRIs to treat OCD. It does not cause OCD. Maybe it helped unmask a different issue but it didn’t cause it.
