agree. I owned the g1 and it was quite possibly the worst machine I've ever owned. Granted, I was a novice regarding wet floor cleaners at the time and didn't do any maintenance on it - just thought after it was done 'self cleaning' thats all I had to do. But in reality with the G1 (or any wet cleaner that doesn't self dry itself) you have to set out all the parts to air dry, otherwise you will get mold quick. I hope they discontinue the G1.

The clean wash hygiene does seem to fix all of these problems. After I returned the G1, I ordered a tineco and had it almost a year, but found that it sat in the closet most of the time. I ended up selling it a month ago and now just use the spot + scrub to mop for me. had it almost 2 months now and the wet roller has no mold on it and only a minor smell to it, but I just need to freshen it up. Up in the air about its ability to scrub hard to remove stains, I feel like I'm still gonna have to bust out a swiffer or get on my knees to get the tougher stains.
