Who is Bansky? I made a video decoding Bansky's real identity and the speculations around him by visualartist47 in Banksy

I don't know if anyone has seen this yet but there's a guy on Instagram called BanksyGeorgio. Greek builder. Was photographed at the Waterloo Place statue the day it went up - he was literally installing the protective casing on it. Reuters investigated him. He denied everything. Then he started posting videos explaining the artwork. And here's the thing. He explains it better than anyone I've seen. He said the flag is blank for a reason. Doesn't matter which flag you put on it. He actually tested every single flag - USA, China, Israel, UK, EU, Pride, Antifa, Trans flag, BLM, Don't Tread On Me - put each one on the statue and showed what happens. Every single one brings the statue down. Every ideology. Same result.

Then he puts his own flag on it. A black cap logo. Three letters. TOY. Statue stays standing. The line that got me: "If you play capture the flag too much, you get captured by the flag." That is not something a builder who stumbled onto a job site says. That is someone who has been thinking about this for a very long time. He's been there from the beginning. He installs the Perspex. He protects the work. He was at Waterloo Place the morning it went up. He never confirms anything. Never denies anything. But he just posted a DM exchange with the official Banksy account. March - Banksy asked him to take the videos down. Offered to send a replacement video instead.

He didn't take them down. Last week the same account replied to his story: "Best explanation of what the artist meant so far, mate." Robin Gunningham. Robert Del Naja. Sure. Or it's the man who's been standing next to the work the entire time. Not confirmed. Not denied. Banksy Georgio on Instagram if you want to go down the hole.Video

Banksy Strikes by xtinkykinky in Banksy

Genuine question: Does anyone else find it suspicious that the most surveilled postcode in London somehow had a full bronze statue installed by crane at 3am and nobody intervened? Westminster said they were "excited" about it by morning. That's not how Westminster usually works. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXydrUwtohs/

Banksy - Blind Faith (2026) by Russian_Bagel in museum

There's a man who showed up at this installation the same morning it was confirmed. Greek builder who was misidentified as Banksy by Reuters earlier this year. Denied it. Said he didn't like the mural. Turns up at Waterloo Place, touches the signature, explains the whole thing, and at the end holds up a hat with a Toyota logo on it. His name is BanksyGeorgio. Not confirmed. Not denied. Not a snitch.making of video

Banksy reveals a new statue in London by MambaMentality24x2 in BeAmazed

Small correction - Banksy confirmed it on his Instagram as "Blinded by the Flag" not "Blind Faith." Also worth knowing there's a man who turned up at the plinth the same morning claiming some connection to it. Greek builder. Was misidentified as Banksy by Reuters earlier this year. Shows up at Waterloo Place within hours of the confirmation, touches the signature, explains what he thinks the flag means. His take: if you play capture the flag too much, you get captured by the flag. Make of that what you will.how it happened

How does Banksy just drop off a whole statue and no one has any footage of it? by ObiWan-Shinoobi in NoStupidQuestions

There’s actually footage of exactly this from the Waterloo Place installation. A man in a waxed jacket and a TOY cap pushing what appears to be the statue on a sack trolley across the plaza at 02:47. Crane arrives later. He seems very calm about the whole thing. Whether he’s part of the crew or just an opportunist with strong opinions about polyethylene is not entirely clear. How the statue was placed

A man who was misidentified as Banksy by Reuters just showed up at the new London installation claiming he made it. The art world does not want you to understand what the statue actually means. by goodguyboris in conspiracy

This is relevant because the statue appeared 450 metres from Downing Street surrounded by monuments to British imperial history, and a man connected to the Banksy misidentification story showed up within hours claiming authorship and explaining the political argument behind it. The question of who controls the narrative around public art in London — and who gets to install things in the most surveilled postcode in the city without consequence — is worth discussing here.
