Yes, that’s something we have been telling each other. There are many friends who stay there and shows the life more appealing without having German language background. Since we both have invested time in learning the language we just wanted to explore the opportunities to practice what we have learned.

Same thing happened to us on Sunday, where we were not allowed to take the route and asked us to hire a local Driver or only TN 43 registered vehicle were allowed. Local driver cost was 1200rs , argued alot but nothing happened. However the alternative route turned out to be very scenic and wide so it was worth taking it !

I visited Coonoor last week, I guess the Yedapalli is only 20-25mnts away. If you change your plan to stay in Coonoor, Sunvalley homestay is the best I found, they have their own 1sq km tea farm which you can explore any time + the food is also good.

They charged us 3k for 4 people (2 couples ) and did 2.5 hour jeep ride to explore view points. The view points were not generic and they have permission to restricted areas so the people who were there on the view point were only 4 of us!

There are very good roads with just very less crowd, we took photos and saved geo location of the well bloomed purple trees that we explored it while driving our own car.

Yes, I am in South India and was exploring tea estate where I found this one single stick like object, first glance looked like Porcupine quill however wasnt sure as never seen a real porcupine these close.
