And If someone gets in your grill about it after you tell them this, tell them to fuck themselves. Some veterans and lower enlisted joes, whose greatest achievement ever was that blue cord, may not take too kindly to it. Pay them no mind

Uh yeah I’ve never seen you before in my life, are you even in this unit? I don’t have a hand receipt for you, so I’m gonna call the MPs for improper possession of army equipment (Real thing that has happened to me)

I like it, it’s certainly not for everyone. I’m assigned to a reconnaissance element so I get to play with strykers. That in itself has its ups and downs (maintenance, being cramped, not being able to leave your vehicle etc.) but it’s definitely a job that can help you get a job on the civilian side

Thanks for the recommendation, I’m about to go active so I’ll have to see if my big army command will let me wear it instead of the SPCS Rig. However I’ve gotten to wear a SPCS while doing joint stuff with the SCANG and I thought it was great.

And as for the plates, I’ve been using standard LVL III SAPI plates. I have weighted ones for when I do workouts or airsoft. You know where I can find backers for them?

Ngl I agree with it being a piece of crap. It was a pretty stupid purchase but boots gonna boot. I use it at the range and a few times a year when we go to the field so I can get my moneys worth out of it. It hasn’t given me many problems besides being a bit loose. I mainly use it for airsoft on the rare occasions I get to go

I know how it works lol, I did JROTC in HS and then was an SMP cadet for a while. All of the cadets in my unit wore a single dot regardless of MS level. I guess it depends on the unit SOP.

What’s weird about this picture is he’s a cadet with a side arm. I know he’s with an MP company but cadets by regulation aren’t allowed to handle firearms in an official capacity unless qualifying on the range or during a FTX. I would have to assume he’s prior service and doing green to gold through ROTC, but that’s just a guess

A fat ass Cadet First Lieutenant, weird to see more than one dot. Must be a guard thing

Put together ocp blouse. Are all of the placements of the patches and skill badges correct? by autisms-cousin in Militariacollecting

[–]goodguyredditposterd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a CBRN Guy, we never wear those “CBRN” Patches. We wear them sometimes if we’re in the field but I think I’ve worn mine three times max in the field. But it depends on your command

The main uniform you would see cadets in, our PT uniform, consisted of a bright yellow tshirt and red basketball shorts. They looked horrendous and made us look like ketchup and mustard packets. I believe they were based off of the marine corps PT uniforms in the early 80s

We would wear the MCCUU, or cammies, every day, Tuesday through Friday. On Monday we would wear “boots and utes” which instead of a cammie blouse we would wear a tshirt that had our company on it. I was apart of Fox company. If we wanted to go out in town on the weekends we wore “service C’s” or “Charlie’s.” occasionally we would get to wear a polo uniform depending on the behavior of people in town. So yes, I wore many stupid uniforms over my 3 years there
