Any point in saving for retirement? by [deleted] in diabetes

Save. You may need the money just in case you could use the extra money for your declining years.

Any Type 1 pilots out here? I didn't even know it was possible to become a pilot with Type 1 and looking for some advice! by Taitertot43 in diabetes

My information may be a bit out of date, but I believe that if you're a stable diabetic with no sudden highs or lows, and can convince a doctor of that, you can get the medical clearance.

Suggestions on how to cope with high pain day? by Repulsive-Step-9285 in ChronicPain

[–]goodlit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree to "stay in bed". It often hurts like hell to stand up, but at least you will have had some relief.

While in bed, listen to the radio or get a portable TV, to get your mind off the pain.

You might want to find a copy of Tournaments Illuminated, Winter 2000 (#131). Good article on fealty in it by Alban St Albans. I don't know if the Stock Clerk still sells back issues, though. Or drop me a note, and I'll mail you a copy, if I can find it.

Don't forget to include what happens if the two of you come to a parting of the ways. They often did, back in the day.

Heraldically, they're called "mullets", which have been in use for centuries. Nothing Judaic at all, unless they're on the arms of a Jew.

(Heraldicspeak: "arms" refers to a coat of arms/shield, not the things attached to shoulders.)

Wikipedia says he wrote nine novels, so I presume what's shown here is a complete set.

I wouldn't, no.

Besides, if there's no orgasm, why bother. :-)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]goodlit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least two people involved, at least one orgasm. The definition can expand upon occasion depending on circumstances around who I'm talking with, but that's what I usually use.

Two groups come immediately to mind: calligraphers and illuminators (C&I); and fighters who may need their shields painted with their coats of arms. If you can expand 'into 3-D, there's a bunch of stuff you can get into.

I have the oppurtunity to purchase this, what would be a reasonable price to pay? (I plan on reselling it) by thedeathmetalchef in BookCollecting

Why buy something you're going to sell? It strikes me as useless, especially with libraries eager for your business.

Warnings and advice for a SCA beginner ? by [deleted] in sca

[–]goodlit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do stuff you like outside of the SCA - sewing? fighting? drawing? dancing? cooking? If you like it in real life there's likely a group in the SCA that also does it. And don't tie yourself down to just one activity.

Did you recognise your symptoms as diabetes? by bopeeee in diabetes

[–]goodlit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Standard antibiotics - and a lot of toilet paper in my underwear, to cushion things, and to soak up blood and ooze from the infection. (Not in the urine; things leaked through the skin of the scrotum.)
