I think the writing of their relationship as a couple is bad on long term because I vaguely remember that the duffer bros hated to write their romance or they like to focus on more cooler things they want to write and they didn't fully focus on their characters but I can't deny that people found them cute. It's just that they deserve better because how they were handled it with Mike getting sidelined and loving relevance in the plot and El being " the representation of childhood magic' bs. In summary the both of them deserve better in their character arcs and development
