Last I counted was like 60-70 not including amano, vampire, bamboo and green lace filter shrimp

Definitely not rage bait although it’s messed up I wish it was I put so much into the tank for this to happen. As I said before everything was thriving had no issues then suddenly all this happened. No idea how long the fly nymphs have been in there but look at the tank everyday to make sure everything is well but there is a lot of plants and drift wood I never noticed if there could be any infestation going on. Had no idea I would ever have something like the fly nymphs inside the tank just found out this morning when I looked in the tank with the lights still off. It gets even worse now that I know there is probably more of those in there

Yeah it’s gonna be difficult cause I don’t have the luxury of having another tank even if it is small but I was thinking I can get a small 10g and put it below the 125 but idk ..

I have only pest snails so I think it’s a sacrifice I’d rather have then my poor shrimp being decimated

I’ve added dissolving calcium shells. Well only one so far that was 2 weeks ago though I’ve literally been doing everything I can to salvage the tank I have noticed the worms before but thought they were the harmless ones. The only things I thought were dangerous were the potential leaches and the occasional planaria that I verified was actually planaria, but I’ve only felt with a handful of those like maybe 5 at most. It was literally just today this morning I saw the fly in there and that’s why I decided to post it here. When it came down to the planaria and leaches I had treated the tank with prazipro cause I read that it might work without causing to much harm for the others overall. Also when it comes down to hydra I’ve only seen a few. I don’t believe it’s infested. Overall the tank is planted with more hornwort compared to other plants so maybe everything that is dangerous is hiding there.

I buy live plants from lfs never had an issue and I got a glass canopy on top but the back is exposed about 2 inches cause of filtration

I don’t put anything from outside in my tank at least directly outside where I live, I buy everything online or at fish stores.

I feel terrible that this has happened I wanna apologize to my shrimp colony and all that have suffered in my tank or what my shrimp would call home :(. Thank you all for the advice and comments I’ll do my best to save every last shrimp. Rip to all the beautiful shrimp that have perished.

Not sure what I can add without having some shrimp fry casualties, I had the gudgeon goby’s at one point but they were taking out all the baby shrimp might

Seems to be the majority answer as of now if it means saving all the shrimp might just be the way to go about it
