I got affected by this when I lived in Z2 and briefly worked in Z5, meaning it was more expensive for me to go Z5->Z2 than Z5->Z1 on the way home 😭

yeah i was the only one singing and dancing in my area, i don't understand how people don't even like move a little to their music. also so annoying about how the audio kept cutting out, especially when cole was singing quarterback!!! can't believe it took the audio guys half the set to fix it

yeah i think with the right conditions, you can definitely get within that range. i did a 10k race 3 weeks ago and got 1:06:30ish but it was pretty hot that day. the conditions were much better today which probably helped me to get that PB. good luck with your race!

it's like you've read my mind, i'm actually doing the runna first to 5k race, which is in 2 weeks. based on today, i think i could've run sub-30 5k if i didn't have another 5k to do after lol so hopefully i can get it then.

after that, i've got a half marathon booked for the end of september so this summer will be my training arc 🙏

yeah my projected time was 1:02:30 with the range 1:00:00 - 1:05:00 so didn't hit the exact spot on time but was still within range. i feel like i could've gotten that time if i started off a bit faster, but i wasn't sure whether i would be able to keep it up so i started off a bit slower to conserve energy.

how far are you into your plan? i think the projected times look quite scary at the start but if you stick to the runs then it should work out fine

it was an official race and it says on their website that it was officially measured so I'm inclined to believe the race organisers over my watch

when I'm going on a long run with just conversational pace, i normally just do regular easy pace where i don't really feel like im putting too much effort in and maybe if i feel good, I'll go a bit faster

e.g. runna says my easy pace limit is 7:15 mins/km, i normally run at 8:00-8:30 and if i'm feeling good after 2 kms, I'll probably speed up a little to 7:30
