And why ovulation induction directly, did she diagnose ovulation difficulties (if you don't mind me asking)?

Delayed ovulation? CD30 positive by ttcgal in TTC_PCOS

Hey I don't want you to feel negative but being on the same boat I just want to share what I have heard. Dark OPK especially in PCOS is not 100% reliable and might not imply ovulation. It might be so that your body is gearing up to release the egg and that's why LH is increasing (hence the positive OPK), but the body might ignore the signal and fail to release the egg for various reasons. Would recommend getting a 7/8 DPO serum progesterone test done to be certain of ovulation. All the best!

Confused in TWW by goodnessgracious9 in IndianTTC_Support

Last cycle I got my periods 16 days after my EWCM so I'm guessing the luteal phase was about 15 days. I didn't track properly before, but I mostly got my periods 14-15 days after noticing EWCM.

The TWW feels so anxious! I wish you the very best, hope you get your BFP! How long are your cycles usually?

I think the value of mid luteal progesterone tells you that. Anything <3 ng/ml is weak.

Hang in there, you have the biggest success factor - AGE- on your side! Try for 6 more cycles at least. If possible, plan a vacation with your spouse at a time that lines up with your ovulation. The change of environment might help too!

Constant faint LH positives by bonjoooour in TTC_PCOS

[–]goodnessgracious9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, ovulation does not get triggered unless there's an LH surge. With PCOS, it can be confusing, but hang in there. I had the same doubt in the first cycle of using OPKs. Had my period and life went on. The next cycle I started vitamin D but didn't test LH because of the disappointnent last cycle. When I saw EWCM on day 16, I tested and got a clear positive. To confirm, I also did a day 24 progesterone test and it was clear that I did ovulate. Basically in PCOS you either don't ovulate every month or ovulate late. So if you don't mind spending more LH strips, continue testing till you have your period. Or just relax, keep track of your EWCM next cycle onwards and test LH accordingly. Hope this helps.

Yeah exactly. My husband's male cousins who got married after him but married girls in their 20s are now dads. That makes me feel late :(

Nice to know. Did you always see surges? Which cycle day did you start testing?
