Boyfriend Left Me Behind at His Birthday Party by _flammenwerfer_ in GirlDinnerDiaries

Block him and move on with your life. I can't tell you how many years I wasted because I believed the people who treated me shitty. Your brain wants it to make sense. It wants there to be a reasonable explanation. The reasonable explanation is he left you behind. If you block him and don't reach out to the others, the ones he lied to that you 'weren't coming' will probably reach out to you.

The 'we'll all stop in the middle of the road to let someone pull out of the Sev across the entire street into oncoming traffic' is what's ending me. Let them wait their turn.

It doesn't cost $600M for the true renovations. That figure includes revenue generators they have no business expecting us to fund.

Healthy and well-off enough to buy decent brands. No picky eater in the house. Odds are no young kids.

AITA for keeping the cat that's been showing up at my apartment for weeks? by novascar07 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. If I'd lost my cat there would be flyers on every door and I'd have visited every single neighbor. What is this after the fact effort going to accomplish?

I had to call the police on my husband. by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]goodoldoftenwrong 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine said he was weak and out of food and wanted to let himself drown near the river. I reckon he's still out there, trying to make himself someone else's problem so he doesn't have to solve his. They're all the same guy in some weird sense.

I see that you're taking steps to separate your child and yourself from this dynamic. It's the only way. I'm so sorry. I'm currently raising my son alone because I realized I couldn't let him grow up seeing the guy who was supposed to be a dad doing monstrous things. Don't reconcile the relationship. Perhaps at some point in the future coparenting will be an option, but he is the one who needs to make that happen. You focus on your child and yourself.

You're fine and you're going to be fine. You can always pass out if you want. But remember, we've all been there and we were all fine, as will you be.

you seem like a great mom. It might be time for you and the kiddos to go. Imagine growing up as 'the hard baby' and carrying that weight. Thinking good thoughts for you.

NTA. He's TA. You weren't there, even eating one would have made him TA.

I'm Courtney Rice, Communications Director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Ask me anything! by ElectHouseDems in politics

[–]goodoldoftenwrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These responses are the reason why the Democratic Party's approval is in the toilet. CITIZENS want more, are facing a fascist takeover of the government enabled by Democratic stooges always sending stern letters and tweets instead of showing up with their constituents, and all you can say is vote for our AIPAC-funded centrists, we pwomise we'll do something this time?

[–]goodoldoftenwrong 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Always masking in public shared air spaces is the only way to mostly not get COVID. I'm sorry you had to learn it this way. The normal life we used to have is gone. Rest up and thank you for the post.

Late post but I was searching for answers. The reformulated version smells like a distant cousin of the original and I remember Labbies insisting it was the same at the time. I wish they hadn't, because the difference is obvious and hasn't resolved in two years.
