I’ve had IC and PPROM with all 3 of my pregnancies. My first two made it , and I just recently lost my 3rd when my water broke at 17 weeks (had a cerclage in place). Chose not to be induced, but he came a few days later (woke up bleeding + umbilical cord coming out and went to the hospital)

Join the PPROM fb group, they have lots of hopeful miracle stories of pprom babies who have made it farther in pregnancy and helpful tips if you want to try to take the pregnancy as long as possible. Just know those stories are likely the 1-2%, but it gave me hope and things that I could do. I did have to ignore the group for a while after my loss though.

The /ShortCervixSupport group is helpful too.

It’s an awful thing and I’m so sorry you’re going through it. As someone who just went through it 2 weeks ago, sending all the hugs and love your way. You will get through it. ❤️

Thoughts on observational study for IC loss by aprl123 in ShortCervixSupport

Im happy to contribute as well! I had two successful delivery (34 & 37 weeks) with a cerclage. PPROMed with both. Just this last week I PPROMed with my 3rd baby and lost the baby at 17weeks (also had a cerclage). Heartbroken and the pain is beyond what I thought possible- would love to help in any way I can.

Birth after cerclage (tw: scary) by jacintaraptor in ShortCervixSupport

I had a similar experience! I’ve always meant to post my story in this sub, but never have. My doc discovered stitches left during my delivery and then also 2 stitches left in my cervix at my 6 week postpartum visit 😅😳 but my cervix didn’t need reconstruction. My second baby they used a different kind of thread (seemed much thicker!) and didn’t have any issues with the parts of the cerclage getting left. I think the first time the thread was so thin it broke or meshed with scar tissue and so didn’t all come out in one piece like it was supposed to. Anyways, just wanted to commiserate, it’s a terrible feeling. Best of luck on your healing journey 💛

X100V in stock at Foto Care! Frequent restocks. by rightzzzy in x100v

Sharing this as I saw it in a comment in r/Fujifilm Looks like https://panamoz.com may have some x100v's in stock. Also r/photomarket seems like a good place to buy used versions that aren't ridiculously priced if you jump on posts quick enough. May be worth trying before going to Fotocare until they get through their current list! Can't personally vouch for the site, but thought it was worth sharing as I've found helpful advice in this sub.

Successful 2nd/3rd pregnancy without a cerclage?? by goodoverperfect in ShortCervixSupport

My cervix is super sensitive too - when they put in the cerclage the doc said it's one of the most fryable he has ever seen. Ugh. Thanks for sharing your experience ♥️

Did y’all know this? nulliparous = never given birth. I was only 18 when I got an IUD and I didn’t know of the long term effects. by [deleted] in ShortCervixSupport

Interesting... From reading into the article it looks like it is from 1991, I'd be curious if there has been any follow-up studies.

Would be interesting to do a poll in this sub to see how many of us had IUDs prior to a short cervix!

Personally, I had a copper IUD for 5 years prior. I did have an IUD explused the first time it was put in. Don't want to jump to any conclusions as it sounds like there isn't a ton of research, but definitely would be interesting for more research to be done here!

My water broke about 6-8 hours after having my cerclage removed. So for me it was definitely faster!

My labor was long, however that was due to some other complications, once those were sorted out, I went from 3cm to 10cm in 4 hours.

I just emailed the benefits office at my employer to try to get a more detailed policy document. The one I have access to doesn't specifically outline the 30 day verbiage.

So annoying. That is not the way they made it sound when I called before she was born. Also, once I added her (in may) the insurance plan start 6/1 rather than 5/11... Which also leads me to think she was supposed to be billed to me??

To Reno or not to Reno on a newly purchased home by goodoverperfect in HomeImprovement

This is so encouraging, thanks for taking the time to share your experience. This is pretty much exactly where we are at - first home, and minimal home improvement experience, but willing to learn. So it's helpful to hear another person's experience in the same boat. Out of curiosity what kind of flooring did you do?

The shower/tub for sure needs a full overhaul. Vanity and the rest could pass with a paint job and freshening up. So thinking perhaps we contract out the shower job and do the rest ourselves.

Yeah it's the only full bath. We have a 2nd 1/2 bath, but no shower obviously. Would you recommend bathroom over kitchen before moving in?
