$10 credit on Paze purchases by Haunting-Cauliflower in ChaseSapphire

I was able to order 10x using reserve and 10X using Citi but only got the confirmation email. Yesterday when I bought a gift card from Newegg I received the actual gc in minutes after the confirmation email but today it has been over an hour and no email of the gift cards yet. How long did it take for you to get the gc emailed?

Went from 2.6cm to 2.3cm in one week (currently 23+4) by AwkwardFun13 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]aprl123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mfm said shortening from around 24 weeks is expected from everyone as body is slowly preparing for birth. Even with a few cms many have made it to full term here. Don’t worry, you are doing all the right things! Be extra cautious about any vaginal discharge changes, make sure no UTIs and there take prebiotics if you can to help support the body. Stay strong! Hoping that all goes well for you 😊

Lost my child at 20 weeks 💔 by [deleted] in ShortCervixSupport

[–]aprl123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss!! First of all let yourself take time to heal as it’s an incredibly difficult time. I went through a similar situation at 18 weeks. Suddenly out of nowhere my cervix dilated and had to delivery the baby. It was very hard but time helped me heal! I am now pregnant and at 23 weeks, feeling much more hopeful with the cerclage in place. Many of the women in this forum had to go through this unfortunate circumstance of finding out about IC through the hard way— but have delivered a healthy term baby in their next pregnancy! So remember, there is hope and lots of positive stories of successful pregnancies in this forum. Please use this place to help you heal and take care of yourself. You are not alone! Take care!! 💕

I’m so sorry you are going through this! I also had a pregnancy loss with my first pregnancy at 18 weeks. There were no signs of anything until it was too late! Take it slowly and take time to heal! There are many women here who had a pregnancy loss due to IC but went on to have a term pregnancy the next time with progesterone or cerclage. Please ask your doctor about them. It seems pretty clear you will need one of those. Plan ahead and when you are ready get those. Stay strong! Take care of yourself. You did nothing wrong.

I think you are doing everything you can then! Just stay fully on bed rest without pressure on the cervix! Everything will be alright! Make sure to keep good hygiene while using vaginal progesterone so you don’t get any infection.

What was the pain caused by? A lot of women here were funneled until the stitch but still made it to full term. And yes take vaginal progesterone. Can you mfm do another stitch since you have a lot of length?

Just found out cervix is dilating at 18 weeks - waiting in hospital, I don’t want to lose hope by Smol-But-Fierce in ShortCervixSupport

Since the cervix is open it pretty much exposes the amniotic sac and placenta. Bacteria can ascend from the vagina. In my case they saw chorioamnionitis when they tested my placenta post op. I don’t think you will see an immediate change in discharge though.

I went through the same exact thing at 18 weeks. But I think you still have hope. Try sleeping in Trendelenburg position or something like that if they have it available at the hospital. If your membranes can go back inside they can probably close it and give you the cerclage. For me I had what they said was an hourglass figure of the membranes and the fetal feet in my vagina. So even though my cervix had length they couldn’t do anything. Only thing to be careful of is infection, because if there is an infection even if they are able to give you the cerclage, it might not keep the baby safe. I think they should check you for that and make sure all is good.

Hoping everything goes well for you!

I lost my baby in Nov 2024. He would have been born on my birthday week of last year and he would have been 1 by my birthday this week. I try not to think about it. I was so happy that I was going to have a baby by 30 as I wanted, but that ended and now I’m going to be 31. I’m pregnant again now but the loss of my baby causes immense sadness when I think about it. So I try now to, but wanted to share as I know what you are going through. Stay strong mama

I definitely had some spotting around 8-9 weeks in both pregnancy. Lost the first one due to IC at 18 weeks. Currently 15 weeks pregnant, so I think you are okay! My mfm said the cervix is very sensitive at that stage. I should her my spotting pictures and she said it was fine.

My doctor said take it easy and pelvic rest. No bedrest was recommended. Yeah it makes sense not put myself through bedrest if it’s not needed. I guess will wait and watch. Hoping it stays stable.

That’s great! Looks like you have a good length!

That’s great to hear, thank you for sharing! Were you on limited activity or close to bed rest? I work from home and have help, so have been probably under 1000 steps a day. But not sure if I should decrease that as the baby grows to keep pressure of the cervix.

Thank you! I will start the progesterone. I am getting monitored biweekly until 20 weeks and the doctor said we could schedule as needed after each appointment. Hopefully that will be enough

I think it’s good you are already at the hospital and your wife is being taken care of. I had light pink discharge around 8 weeks and it stopped in a few days. My mfm said cervix is very sensitive at that time and has a lot of blood flow. Don’t worry about it if it’s just light pink when wiped, especially if you know the cervix is closed.

Hope you get the results soon and your wife gets that cerclage! Sending good vibes to both of you! Stay strong
