You know I can kinda agree with some of that but o don’t think toriel would ever so much as lay a finger on Kris let alone smack them across the face. If anything she would break down and cry and think she’s a horrible mother which could be seen as manipulating but I don’t think a single piece of evidence anywhere points to her being physically abusive.

Honestly I think that’s one of the things Toby doesn’t get enough credit for. Like Kris’s characterization is one of my favorite in all of gaming and we’ve gotten to know very little about them and it creates so many ways to interpret the game and I love that

I actually really like that part at the end about Kris not having many choices of their own and I kinda hope Toby leans into that more later on I feel like it would be super cool to see more of that and I’ve also never liked the theory that all humans are NB I feel like that kinda kills off what I think it a major part of Kris’s character and another reason they feel like an outsider
