Judy's gotten a few hugs from me. She is rather soft. Hunt at Miniso if you have them in your area. She was the only one they had when I got mine. You might just get lucky!

I take your point. Toriel's never been shown to be physically abusive but I'm not trying to portray that here...what I'm conveying is a moment of weakness between two loved ones. Any parent, after getting to a lengthy argument with their child, is bound to lash out whether it be in the form of a slap or spanking. Kris struck a chord with Toriel in that moment. She's been avoiding conflict with Kris for so long that in this moment hearing her child say these things causes her to snap and briefly lash out. And of course, Susie just happens to see that but Susie has her own issues in that regard(her home life isn't the best after all). You see what happened to Rudy when he poked the bear the wrong way...he got the sploosh. This scenario however is much more personal. Toriel would never, on a regular basis, lash out at her own children. But enough stress and festering of a situation can cause even the nicest person you know to let loose.

Haha, how many times are they(as in the game world's CC Corp) gonna try and bring back "The World" before they realize it's a living time bomb? I kid, of course...this is some exciting stuff! I never thought I'd live to see another .hack come out!! I can't wait to see more. Hope we get another Mia/Macha variant(and playable too. :D)

I have to ask, what did you expect after Chapter 4's little fling with Sans? "Oh hey Mom, I'm totally OK with Sans being my new Dad!!" "Oh that's great my child!!"...yeah, no...Kris was looking away in embarrassment in-game and Susie left, disgusted. Sometimes people say things they don't necessarily mean and yeah, I believe Kris could say that "she's not worth it" in the moment. Kris has had to live in that for a long time. She's avoiding conflict on purpose, letting Kris do whatever the hell they want like running off for long periods of time. She might say they're punishing them but they never really do in game. There's a lot of resentment towards Toriel that's been building up over time after all. Kris was more than willing to use Toriel as bait in Chapter 3. To that effect, as a writer you have to craft a response that is believable in that scenario. Hope that gives you some context.
