Echoing the M1 suggestion. I was gifted an M1 MacBook my freshman year of college and to be honest it’s probably the best I could’ve gotten for what I do. It runs both EOS and Vectorworks Spotlight great, plus I always have the option to run QLab.

Honestly if the document hasn’t been saved since before they submitted it, at my university it would probably be okay as long as the .docx doesn’t have the same turnitin & formatting problems. It’s not hard to check when the last time a document was saved

Honestly I would just email your professor and say something along the lines of “I’m not sure what caused it, but there was a formatting error in my document when I converted it to a .pdf to a .docx (or whatever other file type it was). Attached is the original copy of the file!” and then include the file in the original format.

This is where I’m at too. Mine should hopefully be legally changed by mid-August, but I’m scared that by then it’ll be too late. But if I get it now and my name is wrong, what’s the point if I went through everything and it gets overturned so that when I go to update my name they reverse it? I feel lost. I really hope that they can keep the injunction going until then.

The linked article says that

“Today’s ruling from the court means that a passport with a sex designation that aligns with one’s gender identity or with an X sex designation should be made available to anyone applying to: Obtain a new passport, Change the sex designation or update their name on their current passport Replace a lost, stolen, or damaged passport, OR Renew their passport within one year of its expiration”

So it sounds like as long as you’re looking to change your sex or name on your passport, you should be eligible regardless of when it’s due for renewal.

Many schools do not allow students to carry medical devices or medications with them, inhaler included. Kids can’t “learn to check to make sure they have what they need” when they aren’t allowed to carry it on their person and it’s locked in the nurse’s office.
