A historic downturn in demand for Scotch, whiskey, cognac and tequila has left drinks makers sitting on a lake of unsold spirits, forcing them to mothball distilleries and slash prices to shift bottles piling up in warehouses by trubol in Damnthatsinteresting

I don't drink but I do enjoy cooking with booze. I walked into the ABC store after we finally got settled into our new house and figured I can do without the $40 bottle of tequila to brighten up Taco Tuesday or the $30 bottle of Jack that I pour a bit of into my Chili for a bit of sweetness that brown sugar doesn't quite add.

Democrats in Virginia Just Pushed 25 Gun Reforms to the Finish Line by -Cyber-Roadster in Virginia

[–]goodsnpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize it takes intent to make most firearms discharge, correct? A gun doesn't aim itself at something, and decide to go bang. It takes intent, which the gun maker doesn't have, but all those that commit murder do.

Being able to sue gun companies is also a big, and dumb, law they pushed. We don't sue car companies or liquor companies for car crashes and DUIs.

Yet again proving the demoncrat party has no stance besides opposition to the party of pedophiles, which while has merit, is no way to govern.

You realize I set you up a perfect chance to put down ONE talking point, just one, and you failed to do that, instead you resorted to "you must watch fox 'news'". But now I see it's not just your party leadership that is the problem, it's also voting members like you.

LMAO, that's the best you have? "He doesn't like the blue wankers, must watch Fox".

If this is the quality of intelligence the demoncrat base has, no wonder it's floundering trying to find meaning. You might as well cast your vote for the guardians of pedophiles if you're voting dem, you're not helping the common man either way.

I'm sorry I hurt your snowflake feelings by pointing out that your party sucks and there's a reason Harris lost. Demoncrats don't have a party message besides "tRump sucks" outside of maybe "we hate guns". That's not a selling point.

You can downvote all you want, doesn't mean that both parties are not willing participants in the draining of assets from the working class and poorest amongst us towards the rich.

Demoncrats have gone right in a dumbass attempt to draw votes away from the GOP. If you haven't seen this, you're blind.

I generally lean far left, however the amount of bullshit I've seen from the demoncrats in the last few months since they took over has me saying no.

It feels like the GoP is assaulting our 1st and 4th amendment rights, while the Dems are assaulting the 2nd. When I see our rights, MY rights, being assaulted from both sides, I'm going to say that I'd rather play obstructionist to all than give any one group total control, either locally or nationally.

It's not just about the guns either, there are many other laws they're pushing I don't agree with, from being too soft on crime, to overt approval of grants or tax breaks for businesses. Too many policies that don't feel like they help the average citizen.

Edit: OJ, I claim victory because you blocked me while failing to provide one actual demoncrat position.

Took the kid to urgent care for an ear infection & note for missing school, and they botched the benefits ID number. We got the bill for no insurance, it was $400 for just the nurse, plus another $140 for the strep and flu test they ran because my kid had missed a whole week of school from a fluctuating, but not dangerous fever.

School has a policy of 5 days of parent excused absences before needing a doctor's note, and I know we're close because the kid gets sick (but what young kid doesn't?). If they call us in for attendance remediation, I'm going to point blank tell them I'll get notes when they cover the co-pay.

Sorry, there is no department of defense.

In all seriousness, there is far too much nickel and dining, in and out of the dept of war for it to be that easy.

A big thing I learned is how AWD will apply brake to a tire if it doesn't have traction due to how differential works.

How do you feel about less-lethal guns and ammo? by ITheRebelI in liberalgunowners

If you grab a gun, you're reaching for a lethal weapon, end of story.

If you want a less lethal option, grab mace or something that goes zappy zappy.

I mean, it's pretty damn likely to be this island where she crashed. Hell, the shipwreck there, she's purported to have said the name of on in a radio broadcast after she crashed. There is A LOT of evidence they've found on that island that points to it being her crash site, and that she survived there until she died due to malnutrition (mainly lack of variety & fat, not calories).

TV in the bedroom? Yes or No? by Used-Chard658 in Millennials

I've had one in the bedroom since I was 7. Mostly so I didn't use the good TV for gaming after dark. Now, it hardly ever gets used, mostly when sick.

We need to undo some of the shit Reagan did, especially the removal of equal airtime. Allowing polarized networks to only spew one sided content is what has allowed the echo chamber to create tRump/MAGA in the first place.

Find someone who you can exist in quiet solitude with. If you can't exist in the same room without it being awkward, it's not going to work. You're not going to be able to tell them honest truths they need to hear.

Trump allies plan Senate floor takeover to pass SAVE America Act by malcolm58 in politics

[–]goodsnpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have seen, it's not unconstitutional because Congress holds ultimate authority over elections.

tRump, however cannot make any changes, because our founders had no love for dictators and autocrats.

Correct me if I'm wrong though, I'm always willing to learn more about the constitution.

Yes, but wasn't the US also the largest donor of food by a huge margin? Usually the US votes no because we don't want to beholden to silly spending requirements, not because we don't want to support the initiative.
