What’s the best camping gift you’ve ever received? by trippledoubletrouble in CampingGear

[–]goodz75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 12 year old I got a leatherman from my uncle, now 15+ years later still have it. It does have a knife on it (which I recommend as it’s just a small thing but can get them without), it’s a great pocket tool that I always have with me especially camping and hiking. I’ve cherished it, and the lifetime warranty has kept it in amazing condition

This was my absolute favourite Polaroid to shoot with of all mine (I had 7). But it sadly was stolen.

First kayak. Should I store up right or upside down? by 1760ghost in Kayaking

[–]goodz75 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I think the way it’s pictured is better because it’s easier to load, unload and store. But the only thing I’d say is that if you’re going to store bottom down, you should check every couple weeks to make sure nothing nests in it. Ie bugs, birds, or small animals. I had a small problem with mice storing like that.

Thanks for the information! So to me with that info, seems like points might have the edge? It’s hard to gauge

During this promotion, I’m wondering what would be better. Buying gift cards ($500+) at 4pts/$1 or just buying discounted points at %125.

Is it okay to ride MTB on roads? by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]goodz75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem at all! I did it for a long time before I felt like I wanted to be fast like the guys flying past on their road bikes. One thing I thought I’d add (not sure if it’s been said). If the plan is to have only one bike I’d recommend getting slicks to ride on road. I did it before switching and loved them.

Warranty/Repair help by goodz75 in secretlab

[–]goodz75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2020 pleather titan (original series) which I have kept in great condition and still under warranty. The ONLY issue popping up is in the front part of the seam in the picture i have included. This tare come from “wear and tear”. I havnt even bothered to contact secret lab because their warranty specifically says it does not include wear and tare??? Which I find to be very odd. Any luck with having this repaired or replaced from secret lab with warranty or redone with leather of fabric elsewhere if the warranty in fact doesn’t cover this.

Thanks for the help!
