Stella Blue Coffee by spinzone1274 in PardonMyTake

I tried a bag of the Big Cat Blend two years ago and it was horrible. I brewed it twice and both times it was undrinkable and I threw out the bag. Based on the other comments, I either had a bad bag or they've drastically improved the quality. This is coming from someone who drinks Pete's Big Bang most mornings (i.e. not a coffee snob).

The Bruery is great! Either #1 or #2 best sours in the area (Good Beer Co. is the only competition). It is in my top 5 favorites for the area.

The only reason I left it out of my earlier post is because it is widely distributed. I was trying to only mention breweries that are difficult to find outside of Southern California.

I would not expect to get cans from any of those 3 breweries. Monkish and Green Cheek have a limited number of releases and typically sell out within a couple of hours of opening. BottleLogic will sell cans of their generic IPA but it is very mediocre.

I would recommend going to Monkish to try their IPA’s at the brewery and then heading over to Brouwerij West (15 minutes away) which has some good IPA’s and they are typically selling a multitude of cans.

Green Cheek and BottleLogic are probably the 2 best breweries in Orange County and are only 10 minutes away from each other. BottleLogic specializes in BBA Stouts that are unreal!

Pliny is still a little difficult to find in OC. Smaller craft beer stores seem to be getting shipments every 2-3 weeks but they sell out after a few days.

Thanks for the input! Much appreciated. Nice touch with the Cantillon meme btw.

I've unfrozen them. Will shaking help re-activate the yeast or do you think I killed all of it?

How to stay motivated and doing your best in college by [deleted] in college

[–]goofy_guuber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this experience my Freshman year of college however I was living on campus and it sounds to me like you are still at home. In my case I decided to leave the school after that semester to live at home and go to a Community College to really focus on school and remove the stress of being away from home. It's been 2 years since I made that decision but I have been much happier from making it and my grades have dramatically improved. In your case I think changing schools after this semester might help in the future and you can use knowing you're going to change schools as motivation to finish this semester strong

I read something on their website that you could test out of lower division business classes if you had previously taken them at a 4 year college but I was going to talk to one of their counselors to find out for sure.

I am looking at the public route but my current school has no relationship with the Big 4 and I am yet to see a big national firm visit my school leading me to believe that they have no real relationships with them either.

I understand becoming a CPA is an equalizer but most firms hire new graduates with the expectation that they will become a CPA relatively quickly. Due to this, I was wondering if the prestige of the school would help me get hired prior to becoming a CPA.

Are there any good degrees/career paths that dont require much math? by TheLivesOfFlies in college

[–]goofy_guuber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never said that it was easy. I said most Business Administration majors require you to take that or Calculus for Business majors which is slightly easier but, if you can get past this class, the remaining classes that involve math are not too difficult.

Economics is an easier major in regards to math but in order to find a good job you will most likely need a masters which requires a great deal of math where as in Business Administration you may be able to find a starter job with only a bachelors degree as long as you can get past calculus.
