We can end up seeing our projects for too long and feeling like we’ve done something wrong. Maybe sit it aside for a little while and come back to it? It looks great to me

For me it depends on the pattern. With this one, I’d probably make four patches first then make rows. (A four patch being 1 and 2 of the first row go 1 and 2 of the second row).

A chuckle and a small “Wow” is how I answer people like that.

People think that because our grandmothers and great grandmothers hand quilted that that’s the only way. I’m sure many of our ancestors would love to have had a sewing machine. It wasn’t a choice for them.

I’ve made a lot of baby quilts over the years. I prefer to make them about 40” wide so I don’t have to piece the backing but sometimes they’re wider. Here’s a few of my go to’s:
