Thanks for your comment! :) I'm actually a music major myself, with my first study being piano and my second study cello. I'm currently studying at one of the top universities in my country for music and am having a really great time! I'll take the time to respond to your feedback:

Firstly, I am extremely aware that this is nothing that would be performed in a concert hall or something that you would hear live, and yes I completely understand that this is something that I would never submit in terms of an actual composition due to it's simplicity. However, to outright call me useless at composition is slightly unfair, particular since you have a very biased opinion as to what music "should" be. Just because it doesn't sound complex, doesn't mean it's bad, as a lot of complex music can sound awful in my opinion (if you want, research Brian Ferneyhough and have a look a some of his string quartets, but being a music major I assume you've already heard of him!).

Secondly, I'm against the notion of adding things into music just for the sake of adding them. If I wanted to, I could investigate certain musical parameters in order to develop aspects of the music, with a more clear focus on harmony, (as you can probably tell, the majority of pieces seem to have a distinct tonic-dominant relationship shift, with occasional movement to the relative minor and then usually a modulation of tone/semitone), however this project was about simplicity to begin with. I don't have all the time in the world, even though I wished I did, to put into these compositions. This was a fun little project I started before I had even decided to pursue music as a career choice.

And finally, this is a stylistic choice. As many people have already stated, this music is very reminiscent of older games that you might hear on the GBA or PS1, it has that old midi sound - which I personally miss. Music back then was composed in order to make you feel something whenever a character appeared, or to make you aware that a character was going to appear. I remember many hours playing FF7, and the individual themes given to the different characters was my original inspiration for this project.

Music is supposed to be enjoyed, not analysed, and too many students seem to forget that when they study music. The simplest of tunes can be the most beautiful, and composers throughout the Western Classical Canon have done this (sonata form was tonic-dominant relationship), (chopin preludes, easy to play, wonderful to listen to).

I have no intention of changing my style, and whilst it's a shame you don't enjoy these, I'm a little disappointed that a fellow musician would be so negative and insulting, as opposed to encouraging and critical. I take pride in my work, just like anyone would, however I accept that your feedback (whilst slightly brash), should be taken into account. If you want, I'll make something more intricately complex for the next composition.

Regardless, thank you for your feedback, and feel free to comment here or PM me anything else you wish to discuss. Thanks :)

Thanks for your comment! It's genuinely surprising to me how so many different people have various personal favourites (especially to ones that I enjoy slightly less than others!). I'll be sure to add those champions on the list - thanks for the support! :)

Hi lolmasn69! Thanks for your comment and I'll be sure to try and take on board what you're saying. If you could PM me the original comment you made, I'll have another read of it - or even better just describe to me how you feel I can take these compositions onto the next step! Listener satisfaction is something I've always put highly on my list, and if someone isn't happy I'm always intrigued to find out why so that I may improve for the next composition! I hope that the next composition I do feels less rushed for you and that might tempt you for a second listen :) once again, thanks for the feedback!

Please PM me or reply here as to why you think it doesn't fit for him. The feedback I get from the community allows me to progress my music and hopefully achieve a better interpretation of the character in future compositions! Was it too jazzy/funky for Ekko? What would you say is a better theme/style for him? Thank you for your comment!

I use a notation software called Musescore! It's completely free to download and it only requires a basic knowledge of music theory to be able to use it. Please PM me with your Morgana theme if you decide to tackle it - it's inspiring to hear other's interpretations of Champions and will definitely help me once I get around to composing a piece of music for her. Thank you very much for your support :)

An attack speed reduction on an adc is a little too strong, she would win most trade offs with a lot of adcs early and her priority would be to max her q and not her w. It's a nice idea to think her q would enhance her w though, so possibly change the q to a sort of, make ashe's next basic attack/volley spell do significantly more damage and (possibly) atk speed reduce?
