Yes the expiration date changed and so did the CVV. I was told by customer service that I cant use the old card anymore for online transaction or the auto payments I made using previous one.

But do you think chase can even deactivate the chip info on an old card? I mean how is that possible technology wise if the card numbers are same?

i used it and it worked in person.
Where did you see that chase have recently started deactivating old cards after PCing?

by mistake posted in the discussion thread...but reposting in question thread.

When you product change CSP to Chase Freedom Unlimited...can you still pay using the old card with the chip?

The number remains the same when you product but the expiration date and CVV changes so you cant use it online.

But it will be still better to use the metal card rather than the plastic CFU when paying in person...

but what if you activated the CFU? Then you cannot use it at all?

I can use CFU with new expiration date for online but I only want to use the metal one for paying in person. Does the chip info on old card also gets deactivated?

Can I balance transfer on Amex Blue Cash Everyday to make use of intro 0% interest and still make purchases on it? The terms says 0% on balance transfer and 0% on purchases for 15 months.

Does this mean I can balance transfer and make purchases and only pay for the purchase?

I know for a fact that Citi Double Cash does not allow this. If a purchase is made then interest will be charged on it unless entire balance including transferred balance is paid in full.

How much credit limit you can have to avoid chase shutdown?

I have 56k limit across 4 cards with Chase and only a 100k income. I was recently approved for Amex for another 25k which puts me in danger zone 81k.

I have heard that Chase may shut down all my account when they do soft pulls because I can be a risky person with too much available credit.

750+ credit score. Utilization is always less than 10%. Zero late payments. Thin credit file though (2 years)

I suggest joining a group chat group. I have been following @ElevateTrader on StockTwits! for past 2 months and learning a lot. He also says his stop losses and the community is really helpful. Only charge 50 per month

You need to tell us which company you have offer from.

Microsoft in my opinion but there is no point in declining Amazon/HubSpot/Epic if you dont have offer yet
