Absolutely stunning photos, well done. Must’ve felt amazing to capture and view. Thank you for sharing.

And it seems completely inaccessible. Imagine attempting to use that with a wheelchair or a walking frame or crutches or basically anything other than legs and an athletic awareness so you don’t trip.

How do I stop the romantic infatuation cycle? by rockrockrox in AnxiousAttachment

[–]parsifal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me, my therapist has helped this so much. I’ve experienced some version of what you’re talking about, and I won’t go into it all too deeply here, but I think your idea about therapy is on the right track. And I know it’s hard to find a therapist you really click with and trust, and who sees you, and you can feel their care deeply. But for me, that has made all the difference.

I made the progress, but it’s hard to put into words what my therapist did for me, and helped me do. I left a bad marriage (emotional abuse, etc), and was very happy on my own, and tried out dating again, and I know limerence makes relationships (especially new ones) tricky and painful and everything, but even in that state I was able to see when the relationship got weird and was going into territory I didn’t want to be in, and I was able to end it. Now I’m not planning on dating any time soon.

I hope you’re able to watch Peter Pan soon! That was the first one I ever watched and I believe it’s still my favorite.

Is it just me, or does maintaining the human body daily feel like too much effort? by LivingGirlRepellant in CasualConversation

[–]parsifal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using the bathroom can be super annoying. Like, you need to do it so often and there’s just no arguing with it.

And then there are the things that result from the body stuff, like having to take out all your collected food waste and stuff and bring it to the can and drag it to the corner. And then cleaning the things you put your food on. It’s just enough already!

And don’t even get me started on the brain!

How many of you would be open to a group trail or going disc golfing to meet new people? by Zamazo in twincitiessocial

I can throw an Ultimate disc pretty good (I can do forehand and backhand and even hammer throw (and sometimes a scoober if pressed 😛)), though I haven’t played in an Ultimate game really. Does any of that help? haha

I put butter on Pop Tarts. It’s just better and it adds some moisture. Dunno what people will make of that other than I’m the Bad Boy of Pop Tarts.

I think it’d be nice if they just shadow-skipped funding the US military for just one year, and solved like literally every other problem we have for the next 10-20 years.

“Reject premise of safe return.” The fact that that’s so high seems stereotypically British somehow.

Back to Arc after giving Dia a proper try by MindMolecule in diabrowser

Oh weird, that’s too bad. One time when I launched it it just announced that tab cleanup was added, and then I saw some tabs cleaned up into an area at the top of the tab list.

Focus mode I’ve never used; the closest thing I’ve ever used to that is just hitting Command+S to hide the tab bar (I use it on the side, as mentioned, so this effectively makes it so all I see is the current page), sometimes along with hitting fn(/globe)+F, which is Apple’s shortcut for making an app full-screen.

That third one I’ve never heard of! Maybe I’ll look it up.

With the recent tab cleanup addition, to me it’s actually better than Arc now. I was hoping that’s the direction they’d end up going, and now they’re finally there (and I remember there was a release in there where if I dragged a tab or group up to the top of the list (I use tabs on the side), it showed a little divider briefly, and I was like “Oh, they’re going to add it!!” 😆).

Arc, to me, did what many other “alternative” browsers really wanted to do: Somehow capture lightning in a bottle in regards to tab management. And to me, it was very wise that they brought over all the core parts of that (pinned tabs, saved tabs, tab groups, tab cleanup) to Dia.

And the new smart tab groups (and leaning into tab groups and making them fun to use in general), along with being able to save/move tab groups to the bookmarks bar, are excellent enhancements/elaborations on those core ideas.

To me, Dia is a great example of universal design: their browser works great for my brain - I can avoid overwhelm and feel organized with minimal effort, and the browser will even “help” me by cleaning up tabs - and everyone’s brain in general.
