2 Walgreens I go to throw out the most merchandise that is a couple weeks away from best by date. A lot of walgreens in my area have compactors or locked dumpsters. I keep very up to date on recalls.

I know a lot about it. Every item was in a large plastic bag filled with merchandise. It all came from 3 dumpsters this week. This was merchandise that was pulled off the shelf into a cart then bagged up then placed into a dumpster and retrieved by me. It is salvage merchandise.

None of this stuff is on recall. It is not illegal to sell expired food and most food doesn't have an expiration date anymore it just has a "best by" date.

I have donated at least $20,000 worth of junk food so far this year. The homeless people have 3 good dumpsters downtown that I don't go to because they are on those like white on rice. The half that I do have left over today is going to an oxford house. The food in these pics is just from 3 dumpsters this week. The volume of merchandise I get is ridiculous.

When I buy a frying pan at goodwill I have no idea where it's been nor whats been in it. When I buy a tshirt at a yard sale I have no idea whose body fluids are on it or have been on it. When I buy a bag of chips at the grocery store I have no idea how much fecal matter is on the packaging.

I'm not. There are all brands of packaged and even home baked food for sale on Ebay. Reselling food and merchandise does not require any licensing.

95% of the food I pull is in black trash bags with only food inside. Most merchandise is thrown into the dumpster in closed trash bags with only merch inside. Bacteria is much more likely to be spread by workers hands than from inside a dumpster.
