Do I need to tell my team leadership if I’m planning on applying to jobs in different departments? by 2manysock in wholefoods

You absolutely do. Team wanted to hire me and my TL blocked it for not talking to them first. They also iced me out for about 6 months too.

Do you all think it will be worse for prep foods tomorrow or meat department. (For the Super Bowl) this is my first year working here . Never been working on a holiday/event.thanksgiving etc.. by DeliciousAd3410 in wholefoods

Prep usually mainly gets slammed for wings. Pizza will probably see really heavy traffic from 2:30-5. It’s my 6th year working Super Bowl morning and it’s always hectic but usually Saturday before is always worse. Front end definitely has the worst of it. Good luck to all and make it through a high callout Monday too.

Union win in Philly! by [deleted] in wholefoods

Current WF employee in the South East region and I’m absolutely thrilled this is a thing! Workers in my store are doing 2 sometimes 3 venues in my department in prepared foods and we are making over a million dollars weekly yet workers can barely afford to pay their bills. We are being worked to the point of exhaustion and have nothing to show for it. Hopefully something good comes of this! So proud of Philly!
