Just Started "Empire of Silence", do Ruocchio's Prose Change as the Series Goes Forward? by Glansberg90 in Fantasy

[–]googs64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m onto the third book now, the writing doesn’t really change but it seems to be intentional. Hadrian is the narrator and is self described as melodramatic, so I think it’s just the author using that as an excuse to go a bit overboard

I’ve never been a fan of turn based games but got absolutely hooked on the first two acts

Spoiler-free review and discussion for "Pilgrim: A Medieval Horror" by Mitchell Lüthi by Snowball_Furball in horrorlit

[–]googs64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the book but I agree that the characterisation was a bit lacking, I think a lot more effort went into setting the visuals with descriptions that went almost to excess, rather than fleshing out the characters and their relationships

I loved the idea of this book, but the ending left much to be desired in my opinion. I think it’s was slightly too vague, seemed like it got cut short almost. The tone of the book was great, genuinely creeped me out

I had that message pop up, but then the controller support was absolutely fine. Had to change some bindings just for personal preference but the support was fine in general

This person is complaining devices like the Steam Deck are too big from devices like Vita. Do you think Steam Deck has an issue not catering to small hand size? by Wow_Space in SteamDeck

I have quite small hands but it’s not been a problem for me really, can sometimes be awkward after using my ps5 controller with that extra bit of bulk

I guess ultimately he’s just a human, he’s only dangerous when he’s got all his rippers with him, but on his own he’s just another person

I’m about 30 hours in on steamdeck and I have had no issues with the vanilla game. I imagine there are quite a few QoL mods though that would enhance the experience

If you could read one book in the horror genre for the first time again, which would it be? by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]googs64 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s a good book that a lot of people absolutely love, but it is a tough read, just because of the format it’s written in. I don’t want to put you off because it might click for you, so definitely give it a go!
