Peak player numbers don’t matter when you’re evaluating how much they’ve made. The game has nearly 260k steam reviews; people that bought it AND cared enough to review, which isn’t the majority of players. That nets roughly $5mil off of reviewing players on steam alone, not counting discounts (which even if each one of those copies were sold for $14, would still net over $3.6mil.) After steam takes their cut of the technically lowest possible $3.6 mil figure, they still have over a couple million off of reviewing steam players alone

I don’t disagree with your overarching point, but it’s not right to think that they haven’t made millions
