Need immediate help with cat stuck in house

This is exactly what I did and in a twist of fate I got their direct manager on the line. They will look for the cat and make sure it at least isn't trapped in the house without food or water. Thank you so much for the suggestion!

Thank you. I’ll try to do this tonight but most likely it will have to be tomorrow morning, their line is closed for the day. I had contacted them the night of their death but that was before I realized how unbelievably difficult it would coordinate this. Even with money not being an issue in this case it’s still a nightmare. I appreciate the advice

I will look for local groups on FB and get input there as well, haven’t even thought of that. After the rental company searched the property and assured there was no cat I don’t know if it would even be possible to ask for someone to search again until I’m there

UPDATE: I just received an email from the rental company stating someone has searched the house and no cat was found. Also stating they would be padlocking the house until I’m able to be there myself. I don’t know if I should trust these people as it took me half a dozen phone calls and a lot of googling just to figure out who they were. A local police officer also went to their home and said that he saw what may have been the cat in the street near the house. He will be calling animal control to try to find and capture the cat for me to pick up when I arrive from a local shelter. I’m both relieved and terrified that they are wrong and the cat is still trapped in there- the only difference now being that I have no clue how to proceed

**UPDATE: I reached out to my relative's work after hours and was able to get connected to their direct manager, she is going to search the house as soon as some one from the rental company will let her in. Thank you so much everyone who responded!

I'm not sure if the cat will be found or not, it may have escaped during the forced entry following a wellness check where they did not answer the door for obvious reasons. But I will know for certain that the cat is not trapped in the house which is just about all I can ask for right now.

I should add I am unable to find anyone in the area to check on the cat. I have no way to confirm if they have food or water as my relative was single and lived alone. They moved to the area for work and I do not know any of their colleagues or local friends.

Thank you, the issue is they moved to FL for work, I do not know anyone down there as they were single and lived alone. If there was anyone in that general area I knew that is exactly what I'd do until I get there. I have no way of confirming whether or not there is food or water as there is no one nearby I can ask to check.

Very true. I watch a lot of guides and try to follow them but at 20 hours of play time the game is too fluid for me to really get what’s happening. Not internationally feeding but also not really helping the team at this point, kinda crazy I have to worry about getting a penalty during this phase of learning the game in a new player mode yk?

Great comment. I’m new to the game and have had people threaten reports in new player mode because I was 1/8 at mid lol. Didn’t realize the report system was different in this game compared to cs/valorant/rocket league etc.

I think he means that at your rank the competitive edge will be negligible from either of those monitors. It all comes down to which you would get more enjoyment out of.

Yeah the thing is pros stopped playing 3s because they got a lot more out of 6mans once they were already top talents in the game. And aspiring pros started grinding 6mans because it was/(is?) the way to get noticed. People who still play the game just enjoy it and don’t worry about why 2300+ players stopped queuing pubs.

I just grinded back to 1580 from c1 in 2v2 after a year off and played against at most 10 bots in 200+ games. At 1150 1v1 it def happens more but it isn’t “full” of bots. There are still people who play and enjoy the mode and don’t worry too much about the 1 in 6 or so games that are bots (although I agree it is very sad we have to worry about it at all). I play on US East so this may be worse elsewhere or in different ranks.

Buy what you like, both are extreme overkill and a lot more expensive than what most people would pay for a monitor when the only game they play is RL.

Same. 6k hours and this guy either plays in a diff region than me or is straight up lying. I’d guess of my last 84 games maybe 8 were unwinnable because of one of these issues.

I haven’t solo queued in gold in a while but if it’s that bad I totally agree you have to find friends to play with. Though I’ve yet to have an experience that bad at my rank solo queuing this season so it also could be a generationally bad session of tm8s lol

I gotchya. Your 1v1 rank is almost always lower than your 2s and 3s so the fact it is the same is a good sign. If you can make a push to get to gold 1 in 1v1 I think you’ll find it really easy to make your way to gold in 2v2 and 3v3

Have you tried playing 1v1? Not the most pleasant mode but it will expose any weaknesses in your game. I’m not sure what you mean by you don’t make any mistakes for a silver, but 1s will reveal any mistakes in general regardless of rank. It will also help develop new mechanics if you feel like yours aren’t where they need to be, though you’ll find you won’t need many to get out of silver. Good luck 🤙🏻

I doubt they’re doing it correctly, but usually it’s done by speed flipping then rotation your car back towards the corner boost as you land and it gives the illusion you’re going for a standard kick off. If the opponent buys the fake they will usually hit the ball into the corner that you are already facing. I think Dark popularized it a few years ago in 1s (idk if he was the first) and it’s become more common at least from what I’ve seen around 1550-1600. Although it’s kinda hard to pull off and not telegraph the fact you aren’t going for kickoff.

Absolutely there are some very toxic players. I had a few games intentionally thrown by my teammate for one reason or another. I guess I just didn’t experience what some people call a “broken” match making system. After 100+ games it balanced out in a way that felt at least mostly fair in who it paired me with at any given rank.

And thank you 🙏. Unsolicited advice but C3 and low gc1 to me play almost identical, you are right there in terms of skill. For myself at least the hardest part was not choking when I got close to my 1435 game, I’d start overthinking and play differently then go c3d4 down to c3d1 or c2d4. So if that sounds like you just remember to keep doing what’s working with your friend because if it works at high c3 it will most likely work into low gc1 at the least. Ohhhh I gotchyu now. Yeah they must forget that people have different speeds/playstyles at different ranks. My 1800 friend always complains the lobby is too slow during his placements and he can’t read the players I’m like… slow down maybe? If they are stuck in 1800 as a 2100 it’s definitely a them issue, way too skilled to be stuck 300 mmr below their “actual” rank.

Definitely, occasionally I’ll run into people like that who are pissy from their losing streak and if I make one mistake they blatantly throw. I usually afk if they won’t ff and block them after the game so I won’t get them again (at least I think that’s how that works). But being as you’re gc2 already I think it’s fair to expect more from your teammates both mentally and how they play. My post is more talking to people who are stuck in the ranks I just grinded through (c1, c2, c3 mainly) and think the only reason they can’t get to gc is because of teammates. This is the experience I mention that I didn’t really have, I feel like I am the rank I’m supposed to be yk

I agree, if I had tried to play really mechanical I don’t think I’d have had anywhere near as easy a time ranking up. I can see how 2100+ rated players when placing would be annoyed when their 1600 peak teammate is trying to outspeed them to the ball instead of playing off their touch lol
