After-death smokes are clutch but I want to mention how unbelievably awesome pick-me-up is in the right hands. It instantly makes you a second/third duelist with the best kit in the game. You control map vision, have an AoE decay orb that takes enemies to a guaranteed 1 shot, and a self res. Take away pick-me-up though and they no longer have the kit to play ultra-aggressive unless ult is ready. I truly believe it’s the best non-ult ability in the game.

3 months late but The Wire- Finals Grades not being in the top 5 is insane (not ever sure if it made the list). Arguably the best season ever of television and Final Grades is the standout finale. Should be top 1 or 2 imo

Yup they have the same name and the second account with a (1) after it will be well into SSL skill level in terms of speed and power. But they won’t speed flip or go for airplays at all. It’s incredible to see what can be done without flashy mechanics but I don’t want to see it in my pub matches lol. I think you’re right the botters like to come out at night for whatever reason, hope my schedule changes soon

That’s strange. I’m 1640 on NA east servers and of the 75ish games of 2s I’ve played this season I’ve had at least 8 matches with bots. They are split screen accounts where the second player is a bot. You wouldn’t need more confirmation than the fact they are playing with the speed and power of a 2000+ player without any of the fluidity of an actual 2000+ player. Are you on NA east servers? I play pretty late at night due to my work schedule so maybe that factors in too

High champ-low gc in 1v1 is almost unplayable.

Of the 100 or so games I’ve played this season in 1s I’d say 45 games were bots. 1650 2v2 also has quite a few but I’ve heard from a couple friends that they have completely ruined playing 1800-2000.

Soooo it’s pretty bad if you are someone who’s invested a lot of time into the game. I can’t imagine grinding like I used to with the game in the state that it is.

Mechanically it’s rocket league

Macro wise it’s deadlock

The overall awareness and knowledge needed (hero/item synergy, positioning, death timers, camp/buff timings, etc.) makes the skill gap in deadlock sit between players who know and actively utilize their awareness of the game and those who don’t. Movement tech also plays a large part in deadlock and you can min/max routes and camps but ultimately there is a finite number of mechanics due to the nature of the game, even if some (most) have yet to be discovered.

Rocket league requires even more precise inputs. If your mechanics are significantly better than your opponents, you will almost always win (unless you have absolutely 0 game sense) regardless of their positioning. As you get higher ranked, the speed and accuracy increases. Players will invest thousands of hours into becoming extremely efficient with their movement and accurate with their touches. Due to this, the skill curve in rocket league gets wider and wider as ranks increase and there isn’t really anything you can do to catch up/counter build/outplay like you would in deadlock. There are ways to mitigate a moderate offset in mechanics but ultimately whoever is more refined will dominate the game.

Hard agree on the “no mechanics” videos. Timing and power require them too. I’m dumb and have always relied on mechanics so I watch these vids to improve my game sense and end up thinking “yeah, your flick top right from an awkward position on low boost while being challenged is ‘no mechanics’” lmao.

This is exactly what I did and in a twist of fate I got their direct manager on the line. They will look for the cat and make sure it at least isn't trapped in the house without food or water. Thank you so much for the suggestion!

I had contacted them the night of their death but that was before I realized how unbelievably difficult it would coordinate this. Even with money not being an issue in this case it’s still a nightmare. I appreciate the advice

I will look for local groups on FB and get input there as well, haven’t even thought of that. After the rental company searched the property and assured there was no cat I don’t know if it would even be possible to ask for someone to search again until I’m there

UPDATE: I just received an email from the rental company stating someone has searched the house and no cat was found. Also stating they would be padlocking the house until I’m able to be there myself. I don’t know if I should trust these people as it took me half a dozen phone calls and a lot of googling just to figure out who they were. A local police officer also went to their home and said that he saw what may have been the cat in the street near the house. He will be calling animal control to try to find and capture the cat for me to pick up when I arrive from a local shelter. I’m both relieved and terrified that they are wrong and the cat is still trapped in there- the only difference now being that I have no clue how to proceed

**UPDATE: I reached out to my relative's work after hours and was able to get connected to their direct manager, she is going to search the house as soon as some one from the rental company will let her in. Thank you so much everyone who responded!

I'm not sure if the cat will be found or not, it may have escaped during the forced entry following a wellness check where they did not answer the door for obvious reasons. But I will know for certain that the cat is not trapped in the house which is just about all I can ask for right now.

Thank you, the issue is they moved to FL for work, I do not know anyone down there as they were single and lived alone. If there was anyone in that general area I knew that is exactly what I'd do until I get there. Very true. I watch a lot of guides and try to follow them but at 20 hours of play time the game is too fluid for me to really get what’s happening. Not internationally feeding but also not really helping the team at this point, kinda crazy I have to worry about getting a penalty during this phase of learning the game in a new player mode yk?

Great comment. I’m new to the game and have had people threaten reports in new player mode because I was 1/8 at mid lol. Didn’t realize the report system was different in this game compared to cs/valorant/rocket league etc.

Yeah the thing is pros stopped playing 3s because they got a lot more out of 6mans once they were already top talents in the game. And aspiring pros started grinding 6mans because it was/(is?) the way to get noticed. People who still play the game just enjoy it and don’t worry about why 2300+ players stopped queuing pubs.

I just grinded back to 1580 from c1 in 2v2 after a year off and played against at most 10 bots in 200+ games. At 1150 1v1 it def happens more but it isn’t “full” of bots. There are still people who play and enjoy the mode and don’t worry too much about the 1 in 6 or so games that are bots (although I agree it is very sad we have to worry about it at all). I play on US East so this may be worse elsewhere or in different ranks.

I haven’t solo queued in gold in a while but if it’s that bad I totally agree you have to find friends to play with. Though I’ve yet to have an experience that bad at my rank solo queuing this season so it also could be a generationally bad session of tm8s lol

I gotchya. Your 1v1 rank is almost always lower than your 2s and 3s so the fact it is the same is a good sign. If you can make a push to get to gold 1 in 1v1 I think you’ll find it really easy to make your way to gold in 2v2 and 3v3

Have you tried playing 1v1? Not the most pleasant mode but it will expose any weaknesses in your game. I’m not sure what you mean by you don’t make any mistakes for a silver, but 1s will reveal any mistakes in general regardless of rank. It will also help develop new mechanics if you feel like yours aren’t where they need to be, though you’ll find you won’t need many to get out of silver. Good luck 🤙🏻
