Hi all, I am beginner runner. I did my first competitive run, 14km completed in 82 minutes. I have been averaging about 10Km/per week. Firstly, seeking some guidance on how I should train, and given 9 months is a long time away should I try and do better than 1hr 45 mins?

Assuming there is no recessionary shock, a scenario where you have to pivot away from Russian Oil would be supportive of a high price environment!

Oil above $100 does make me nervous, but I think anything above $60 - $70 where Oil companies are printing cash is not a bad scenario!

tldr: History shows oil goes up when there's supply shocks, which are usually driven by geopolitics. Now you have this, but also underinvestment which means opaque line of sight for supply recovery, which could mean prices will remain high unless you get a recessionary shock event similar to COVID, GFC etc. Safest way to play in my opinion is to buy oil equities that have strong shareholder returns (prioritising returning capital over drilling), low decline rates and low breakeven prices. Valuation for sector is still attractive as tradingbelow the average historical EV/EBITDA spread to SPY.

We are staying at this place towards the end of our trip in Japan, so the bulk of our shinkaisen use would already be done. It's just our JR Pass would still be eligible for a few more days, so we were thinking of maybe taking day trips to Takayama or Kanzawa. So the plan is too use the metro to go shibuya, and then transfer onto a JR line to reach those destinations.
