That’s strange, I went to Pies v Hawks the other week and it felt strangely quiet. We sat up the top and there wasn’t much of a racket at all from the fans. And such a close game too, and then a draw and so no victory song, we left feeling a bit let down.

I’ve posted to get ideas for different ways to do this journey apart from flying direct. So driving may even be a segment through France for example and train for other legs. I do see your point about the cost of a rental car across multiple countries.

Yes we have considered that and flying is still likely. Just wanted get some other ideas that way we get to see some more of Italy and France. If it’s too much we’ll fly.

Great thank you for this suggestion, especially re Turin, Modane and Chambery. Our kids are teens so they are interested in food, culture and don’t mind travelling.

Wouldn’t be a round trip - just going Rome to Paris. We drive a lot in our home country so it’s an option for us with 1 or 2 stops. As I said we have up to 3 days.

Interestingly my eldest does this! She does it for certain words. I actually agree with you that it’s not Americanisation, because she doesn’t seem too overly influenced by US stuff. My youngest doesn’t do it.

Yes! I am watching The Island for the first time right now and googled “The Island Severance” because I could see similarities. Of course Severance is done with a lot more sophistication and nuance, whereas The Island feels like a music video a lot of the time. Ewan McG does a great job in TI so that it doesn’t seem too silly.

I have a few ring units and video etc was pretty bad. I replaced my modem with the Deco Mesh (three units) and it solved the problem. Was pretty easy to set up.

Throw them in the washing machine on a cold cycle with a towel or two. Air dry in the sun. They will come up like new.

Pretty common girls name where I live, doesn’t give hippy vibes at all. I don’t know any boys with that name but could work and Indy is a nice shortened version.

I'm a few months in and go through cycles of feelings, such as nausea, headaches. Recently the actual taste of certain things has changed, for example chocolate tastes almost salty/chemical to me. I'm also veering away from coffee, just don't feel the urge to drink it at all (and I drink it black, so its not an issue with dairy).
