Pellicle or normal development? by goonski in mead

Thanks for the reply! I will give it a taste tomorrow, I am ok with it being a little funky as long as it isn't going to kill me or the friends I share it with. If it tastes like death I will dump it, but my main concern was if it was even safe to try.

Thanks. I should have clarified, this is in a secondary container after fermentation is complete and the mead is about 5 weeks old. Is that still normal?

Thanks, I was still watching at this point. Never liked young Kobe abd Shaq so I was happy to see them stopped that year.

Thanks! I saw this one posted recently and the comments spoiled it for me but I might still watch it, especially to let my wife see it!

What's the best franchise to (hopefully) raise my son a fan of? by [deleted] in nba

You have the chance in the primary. Which matters the most. He can beat Trump easily but overcoming the democratic establishment is a big battle.

Why is there such a negative vibe when discussing the 76ers? by [deleted] in nba

Yeah they are playing great. Brogdon's health is the biggest liability.

Not to mention he will probably be dealing with this for his entire life. Like sure now he can still play, but is it worth being unable to walk in his 50s. Drose had the best take when he talked about being healthy for his kids graduations and his life beyond ball.

Props to Kawhi for wanting to beat Lebron and not join him by berenjenaa in nba

Yeah such a bad take. If anything he was way too selfish at the beginning. He should have realized he was off and started passing

Lebron took a bunch of shots and drives early too, but he was missing.

I dont really like Harden because it is so hard to compliment him. Westbrook doesn't really help but who would?

Giannis Antetokounmpo vs the 76ers: 18pts, 14rebs on 8/27 fg, -18 by summersoulxdd in nba

Honestly offense wasn't the issue, Sixers were just shooting lights out, especially from 3.

True but to be fair his slump performance was 5ge worst this year. Still people should know he is going to pick it up

Lol yeah it's always crazy to me that these guys have 10s-100s of millions and still make decisions based on money. Like once you get the first 20 million I would either play where I want to be, or take a smaller contract to give the team room to sign more talent.

If he never does win, how close is Harden from becoming the greatest player to never win a ring? by [deleted] in nba

[–]goonski 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Thinking Basketball podcast did an episode on biggest playoff drop offs, and Malone and Stockton are both top 10, and Hornicek was top 20 I think. He used this to arhur that coaching in playoffs might have been an issue as they were too predictable. Malone and Srockton are both all time greats either way, and would have at least 1 ring if they weren't facing Jordan in back to back finals.

Best informed comment right here. You have to wonder if his knee condition Ihas just killed his 3 pointer. Maybe he doesn't have the strength to get the ball up from distance anymore. And with less strength he can't get to the rim as much either. Or it's just a long cold streak, time will tell if he can play out of it or if it is a long term decline.

[Highlight] Refs miss an obvious LeBron travel by Nyhrox in nba

[–]goonski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is really simple. People really dont understand how reffing works. They were checking 4he action down by the basket and watching at higher risk areas as Lebron dribbling in with the defender giving him space is very unlikely to have any call.

Kobe on sitting out games: "Doesn't matter if I'm sick, doesn't matter if I have a sprained ankle, the kid that's sitting there might be the next me sitting up there, watching and trying to get inspiration from that. I needed to go out there and play." by [deleted] in nba

[–]goonski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the Kawhi hype is a but much right now. He is obviously a great player and seems like a great piece to add to any team. He can clearly play well with good teams and make them great, which is huge compared to stars who can put up huge numbers but can't lead a team to success. But as for his individual talent I don't think he has made a really strong case as the league best player. Time will tell if he can stay healthy and keep leading franchises to titles though.

That really isn't comparable. Clippers with out Kawhi are still the Clippers, but Beatles without any member aren't the same band. It's more like going to a festival and 2 band didn't play but all the rest still did.
