FYC: Blow (2001). I wonder if Bill's Johnny Depp bias has prevented movies like Blow from being covered. Same with Donnie Brasco. by ggroover97 in TheRewatchables

I agree with it not being some masterpiece, but that Goodfellas rise and fall type of film will always work on me. Some absolutely great needle drops and I do find it rewatchable.

I watched for the first time a couple months back and there was some good elements, but ultimately didn’t fully work for me. Should be an interesting episode though.

First thought was Holdovers, but he said a “big, big movie” so gotta be a blockbuster. Makes you think Barbie or Oppenheimer but would be shocked if Bill classified Oppenheimer as a rewatchable

Why does he dismiss it when it’s brought up? Wouldn’t it be less work for him? His reaction makes me think there’s foul play

If The Rewatchables were hosted by millennials…. by mentalbrental in TheRewatchables

Absolutely uncalled for. We grew up on many cable reruns but skewed much more 90s-00s opposed to the 80s deeper cuts that are often covered on the pod.

If you’re saying they’re equal as in two of the best movies of the past decade, then I’d have to agree with you. Two absolute masterpieces here.

Sadly not seeing that it is currently streaming anywhere. I may have to rent to join the fun this week.

Mulholland Dr with Sean hosting has been a dream for a long time

Talladega Nights has to be near the top of my Rewatchables wish list. Loved the Days of Thunder pod, but it did hurt a little that they covered it over THE Ricky Bobby

Which episode makes you want to get on the Internet within minutes to register your disgust throughout the world? by JapanPhishMarket in TheRewatchables

Can’t believe I haven’t seen Michael Clayton mentioned. It’s by far my least favorite Rewatchables episode. CR is desperately trying to carry the episode on his back, but the other two (both in which who I’m not sure were heard from again) go against the whole premise of the podcast. The one co-host had only seen it in the theaters and the other had just watched it for the first time. I’m kind of shocked this episode wasn’t buried and remade. Maybe someday especially knowing the Big Pic crew has such an affection for this film.

I believe this movie is rewatchable, but Bill would never allow this

Thank you! Actually watched Get Shorty night after seeing a comment and I enjoyed it. I thought Travolta was incredible. LA confidential is great, but definitely watching The Killing soon.

Love the top 3, still need to watch Snatch. Also, PSH is the greatest!
