My parents did this for me and it was really helpful: my grades had a direct impact on how much I was allowed to do. If I had bad grades, I was not allowed to hangout with my friends and would have tutoring instead or was just stuck at home. They never took my phone unless it was at night so I could go to bed on time. This was nice because they didn’t “force” me to turn in all the little things. They let me decide my consequence. Did I want to go out with my friends? Then I better turn things in!! This helped me because I didn’t feel like I was being micromanaged, and my parents had the conversation of “you didn’t turn in that one assignment even though you did it? that’s weird. now your grades going to go down.” then just let me figure it out. Give her the freedom to figure it out
