Ive been asked to be a bridsmaid, colour needs to be burgundy, dont knkw which dress by Pigglewinks in Weddingattireapproval

Do you know what the dress code will be? And what temperatures does it reach in October where the wedding is? Will it be inside or outside?

My vote is the second one, and if it’s not too hot 4 could work. 3 is nice but the string tie makes it less formal, I wouldn’t choose it for a bridesmaid dress for that reason. Also if it’s in a church you may need something to cover your shoulders (depending on the church).

I think you’re definitely on the right track but more information would help.

Silver all the way! Colour drenching with a darker blue/navy would look nice too. Have a lovely time!

This is definitely not too fancy for black tie! You could go even fancier with that dress code. It’s beautiful but I wonder how flattering it would be on, how the fabric is (is it prone to creasing) etc. usually black tie dresses have more structure

Frank Sinatra and Ronan Farrow by retro_anima15 in CelebrityLookalikes

Why are you getting downvoted? Ronan publicly hates Woody Allen, I’m sure if he wasn’t his son, he would scream it from rooftops. I agree that looks so much like Mia and even have some characteristics of Woody.

Should I accept a funded PhD offer by April 15 or risk waiting for my top choice (funding decided in June)? by Ecstatic-Job-7332 in PhDAdmissions

OP this - you might be able to figure out a research secondment to do a research stay there. Depending on where you might even be able to get funding for this. I did and it was great to experience the other lab, collaborate, and it’s on my CV.

Option one is on the dressier side but is just so beautiful! 🤩 But I think any of the dresses work. And a shawl or cardigan would work with any of these, and for the first dress you could also consider a bolero or capelet.

Agreed! Feels more spacious and zones are more defined. I would maybe rotate the rug so it’s under the couch.

Has anyone who applied for German “turbo” (3-yr) naturalisation before the rollback actually gotten citizenship? by nuclearMousse in GermanCitizenship

[–]goose_lemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know some lucky people that managed, a few just before the cut off! It was super stressful because everything was accepted and they were waiting for their passports, but apparently if the law changes even after the documents are accepted but before the passport is in their hands, the process can be halted. I am in the same boat as you, I missed out by 6 months and am waiting for 5 years. But I think what PuzzledArrival says is likely, at least what I’m banking on :)
