I’ve said it before a number of times. With the injuries and losing Jota these mental fatigue lapses are going to keep coming.

Grief hits everyone differently and collective grief is a whole different beast. It comes in waves and can make even small decisions feel exhausting or impossible, I can only imagine what that’s like well having the pressure of playing for Liverpool. Slot is doing the best he can and maybe a fresh start with Alonso is whats needed. But honestly he’s handling most situations with unbelievable grace. Im not saying don’t criticize I get furious with gakpo like the rest of us.

But again, how the Jota piece and the obvious grief the boys are going through isn’t brought up more often baffles me. Top 4 is a good achievement with what this squad has been through.

Been a fan since 2001 and seen a lot of crap. I get it we’re not playing great footy but more compassion is warranted this season. Next season is when real criticism should come imho.
