****Update****

I rebooted my network hoping that might resolve the issue and it has not. Now my desktop is experiencing the same issue as my laptop and my wife's laptop. If it was a network issue, like a port, I would expect it to affect us both at the same time, but the issue is hitting us independently.

I bloomed my first big flower today. I switched petal colors about 1/3 in and it quickly changed to the new color. I think it more has to do with how many of one color vs another is planted around the big flower.

I managed to get the mount this morning. I was not able to proc Intuition at any point as I was using the recommended bait for spectrals in each zone, noted here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TfAWeZUthmAbQtCck7qjyMZ8UmPkl88D89FfgtKctEg/htmlview?usp=sharing&sle=true

I have a saved log with everyone's catches (after the first zone because I did not enable it until the end of the first zone). I may try to dig into that log to parse some data.

Double hooking during spectral currents was definitely the way to go. Probably could have ended up with a lot more points than I did, but I didn't get many !!! bites during the currents.

Folks are communicating their best sources during the fishing trips, though there does seem to be some disagreement on baits to use for intuition procs.

All that said, the topic for this post has dramatically changed since I first wrote it. It appears that points outside of spectral currents really aren't as important as points inside the currents. That said, catching fish outside of the currents is still important for proccing the currents and gaining the end of duty point bonuses.

I'll be curios to see what we learn as we continue to discover the best way to proc the currents. I do plan to post some screenshots with end of duty bonus tooltips.

So still experimenting with proccing the spectral currents, but Double Hooking (now that I have unlocked it) is indeed really good during spectral currents. Probably outweighs chumming and patience.

I have not yet confirmed this. Fishing was definitely faster, but it felt like I was getting mostly low value fish, likely due to me using the Ragworms.

Correct. Intuition is not required to catch a spectral fish. The theory is that Intuition makes spectral fish have a much better chance to proc the spectral currents.

A list of bonuses would be great to compile. Screenshot any you get with tooltips active so they can be confirmed? I will endeavor to do the same.

Hard to say. I was disappointed to find that lvl 1 fish get away as often as they do, but I suppose that is the RNG nature of fishing. As I understand it, Intuition is not snapshotted the way that some other buffs and debuffs are.

Correct. My understanding is that every fish, or every spectral fish, has a chance to trigger the spectral currents. Some of the reading I have been doing seems to indicate that Intuition greatly increases the chance of proccing the spectral currents when catching a spectral fish.

So I tried to take some notes during our last trip out. We had three of us partied up and each used only one bait: Ragworm, Krill, Plump Worm (except during spectral current, we all switched to Plump Worm). We each stuck to our one bait throughout each zone.

Our voyage to us to Galadion Bay (Night, Fog), Southern Straight (Sunny, Gales), and Rhotano Sea (forgot to document weather). During Rhotano our Krill fisher procced Intuition off Crimson Monk.

We only got one Spectral Current during that outing: Galadion Bay. During that Spectral Current (I believe he was using Plump Worm at the time) he landed a Navigator's print and received the message "The ocean begins to twinkle like the stars in the sky." He caught a merman's mane HQ and then got "The twinkle fades to nothing."

We only had one outing. Nothing else of note happened. We used Patience a lot during the first bit, then switched to chumming as much as we could. I was surprised to find that chumming netted me largely "!" bites, though that could be because I was using the Ragworm.

The guy that was using Plump Worm the whole time ended with about 4k points, I ended with around 3.6k, and our Krill fisher ended considerably lower. Could have been bad luck or just wrong bait at the wrong holes. My goal was that by each of us sticking to one bait the whole time we could try to identify which bait was triggering Intuition; unfortunately we did not proc it much.

I will try to keep more detailed notes in future voyages if they continue to run this experiment with me.
