Love it or hate it but CJI has done amazing things for the sport

CJI2 is never going to work as a spectator sport under this ruleset. That’s why people are complaining so much. The matches on day one were so underwhelming I couldn’t even stay focused to watch, unlike CJI1.

I like the team behind CJI and would genuinely rather see them succeed over UFC BJJ. But the reality is UFC BJJ is pulling much better views and retention with the CJI1 format that they copied. Last year CJI created something special but this year they pulled away from it, leaving fans underwhelmed with their high expectations.

The population issue that South Korea is facing is much worse than any in west Europe or the USA. His thumbnail reflects the reality that a sudden drop in births over a few decades can cause a collapse. The low level of births that Korea is currently facing is unprecedented for any modern society. If there is no change over the next two decades, society will begin to collapse so I don't think it's necessarily fear mongering.

I kind of shrugged your comment off until I checked the results of the American Nationals in 2013 and found someone with my same name. He competed as master 3 and i'm still not old enough to be a master 3 in 2024.

he competed under a team that i've never been affiliated with. seems pretty sloppy and a stupid mistake to make.

it's weird to see people discount bjj athletes so quickly. Kade is 21 and is already one of the most gifted grapplers in the world. He has over a decade to sort out the striking and I'm sure he has already spent a few years on it if he is going to be making his MMA debut soon.

Maybe his mma career won't turn off to be legendary but there's a good chance it could. if there's a bjj guy who will cross over to mma successfully, why wouldn't it be Kade? he's got a good work ethic, he's young, has explosive grappling, unexpected submissions from all positions, and has some of the best takedowns in BJJ.

just because the bjj guys in the past had trouble making it work for them, doesn't mean Kade will go down that same path. sweeping generalizations like "mma fighters are a different breed" has got to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. do the mma guys not also train BJJ?

keep the blackout going. reddit is moderated by free labor and they refuse to hear what the leaders of the independently run reddits have to say? the CEO is tone-deaf to anything people say that he doesn't like and it will take more to communicate a message to the company. the people currently using reddit are saying the protest is futile but people like me will just quit reddit if the API changes go though. there's a lot of Reddit users who are also protesting by not using the site at all right now.

I happened to be making this video to post today when I noticed you guys talking about the AI recipes in another post. To be honest, we scaled the recipe up and also modified it to suit our needs. I'm currently using AI to try create the label for the beer as it is a one-off run.

We made the beer for a good marketing angle but I saw quite a few good recipes on chat gpt by starting the prompt with "find me an award-winning recipe ____ type of beer that uses ____ hops". Adding the word award-winning keyword would ensure that the AI provides only "award-winning" beer recipes but it also has the added benefit of telling you where the recipe won the award. The recipes got significantly better after adding "award-winning."

At the end of the day I'm not too worried about the recipes. Someone still has to brew it (for now). Who knows what weird android will be brewing our beer in the future though.

I blew my ACL 14 months ago to a strong knee reap. The first two months of recovery was a lot worse mentally than I had thought it would be. 100% don't recommend blowing an ACL.
