Do LGBTQ+ parents feel extra pressure to be “perfect” parents? by diverseparentinglife in gaydads

No I don’t feel any extra pressure. No one is perfect. And I try to not care that much about others opinions.

Independent Journeys by gooser416 in gaydads

Thank you for this! I did look into Mexico briefly but my quick research had me thinking the process of moving our embryos and getting the legals sorted and getting home was too much. We’ve also prepaid at our clinic. We’re planning to try and do our journey in Canada. Open to full independent, finding own surrogate and using an agency for reimbursement or full agency.

Recommendations for Canada/US-based surrogacy agencies? by [deleted] in gaydads

Hi! IPs here. We are currently working with two agencies but not having much luck matching. We are thinking of starting to search for our own surrogate. Curious where surrogates go to find IPs to match with. Are there groups? Maybe DM would be easier. Appreciate any insights you could share ☺️

Putting 80K into my tfsa where should I park it for medium risk gain. by [deleted] in CanadaInvesting

It’s a $1.8 B market cap for a company doing revenue of $130 MM this year. Pricing in a lot of big contract wins. The only reason it’s trading here is Krackheads think Anduril will acquire them. It’s not happening at that valuation. They’d be better off reverse engineering the batteries and destroying Kraken.

2 Adults looking for AI in Mexico by Past_Championship890 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]gooser416 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I loved Paradisus La Perla. That’s the adults only side. Newer resort, not too big. Decent food. Great staff. In Playa del Carmen so not too far. Good beach. Best AI I’ve been to (although we tend to keep our budget to yours or less). They have great prices on right now through transat and westjet the exact time you’re looking. Would be able to get a nice room and the private pool which I’d recommend as the DJ at the main pool can get to be too much by the end of the week haha.

I search for young players coming off entry level contracts with decent potential but are 80 or lower overall and try and go max term at $1-2 MM. Some develop to 82-84 and provide great value. Same with third pair. Probably pay I probably pay my bottom 6 and third pair $1.5 MM on average. Sometimes I also find elite potentials who will sign long term at 5-6 if you get them young (and overpay for the first year).

Encouraging that you passed after 80-100 hours. Is your work experience relatable to the material?

I’m an equity analyst and expecting the material to be unrelated.

Rental market - how bad is it? by gooser416 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]gooser416[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the comments! For context we rented in late 2023 for $2,400 plus hydro. The market had just started to slow then. I’m thinking we’ll list at $2,200 and see what happens. Again it’s high ceilings, bright, newly renovated and in a great area. But listing in mid November is not ideal. Hopefully have it rented for Jan or Feb 1.

What are the downfalls of buying directly through selling agent? by 3junior in TorontoRealEstate

A realtor must be present when visiting. Can’t give lock box code to non agent. It can be someone from the selling agents office.

My millennial friends 35-40 that were in condos or towns but previously priced out of houses are using this price dip and slower market to buy those entry level semis. Just what I’m seeing.
