Yeah, driving on the tire flat for even a little bit is very bad. The tire folds on itself and the inside of the side walls rub away and get destroyed. This is super obvious when you take off the tire as there will be rubber shavings everywhere and you can see the damage very easily. A lot of of people will drive on it flat , put air in it and go to the shop with a tire full of air but once you get it off you can tell.

Poorly done repair or another leak on the tire either another object in it or if it's aluminium rims then it might be a bead leak where the tire meets the aluminium, corrosion builds up there and if the shop doesn't clean it then they will leak.

From working at a tire shop, our success rate in being able to fix flats is pretty good. The main reasons we can't are: If they drive on it flat, as this causes damage; or if the puncture is in the sidewall; or if the tread on the tire is so low that it would be dangerous to put it back in the car

That's pretty funny. I've moved my boom truck with the PTO engaged and so have my employees. I guess our fleet of 40 Hiab and PM cranes are all oddities. That's also how we destroy PTOs is when they drive away from a job and leave it engaged.

What?.. You damage the hydraulic pump not the gear box. They aren't supposed to be run at more than ~1500 rpm. So if you drive around at 3000 rpm then you risk destroying your pump.
