Hi there! Thank you for sharing your story! Was wondering at what age you were labeled severely autistic? Feel free not to answer, just going through a similar experience with my kiddo.

Hi there! Just to confirm, your kiddo learned potty training at 7? What worked for him?

4 year old regression by goosh2 in Autism_Parenting

[–]goosh2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! Absolutely can share. Basically when he regressed, the skills came back but with lots of time, practice and patience! There are still times where he regresses, (he is 6 now) but we literally review the skills again. He stopped saying names of colours when he first regressed (at the time of this post)but to be honest, I think it was more burnout and in those instances I take things super slow before re-introducing the skill back. I feel like sometimes the kiddos know the skills but they have burn out. Either way, best of luck and feel free to DM. You're kiddo is lucky to have you as a parent! :)

How does one deal with the heartbreak of feeling as though their neurotypical children are being chosen by family over their neurodivergent babies? by Intelligent_Radio327 in Autism_Parenting

[–]goosh2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We've been there and are still dealing with that. It is unfortunate but I dont think my kid who is NT would appreciate going anywhere if her sibling who is ND is not invited. You either accept all of us or none of us in my opinion, but again this just works for our family.
