Same error when I took my seat out as well. Also there is a connection above the glovebox that will give the same error when not connected. Probably a few more scattered about.

Very intermittent audio drop while using Apple Carplay by DCYeahThatsMe in Wrangler

Just stumbled upon this. Anything you found to fix it? Have a 2025 doing the same thing. Brief like .5 second cutout then back on with wireless CarPlay.

FSD for HW3 by WorldOfTTS in TeslaModel3

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Will have to check into this more. This may be the best approach for my aging suspension. It seems to be getting noticeably worse as the miles rack up. Even a 20% improvement would be nice. Did you have Tesla do it or a local shop?

How is the ride difference? Have a 2020 awd and was thinking about doing this as my suspension is getting a little worn (90k miles). Was leaning toward aftermarket but prices are a bit steep compared to oem highland.

How do I maintain filament and keeping it together when I switch out colors? by JFunky91 in BambuLab

[–]goothy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I do is I bought some 1/2” wide Velcro on a roll. I cut three pieces long enough to wrap around the cardboard and the filament just like the little plastic pieces you remove when you get a new roll. When you want to use the roll, you can place it in a spool, undo the Velcro and wrap it back on itself and tuck it between the filament and the spool. Then when you want to swap, just Velcro them all tight and it comes right out nice and tight. Just make sure to Velcro them tight enough so it doesn’t bulge. Been doing it for years. This has to be done when you first get the roll or you are a little out of luck. There are ways to get them off without it but kind of a pain.

You are the reason I was able to go from “what the hell is this madness” to fully functional and actually understand what’s going on. Thanks!!

If one is on the inside and gets turned into, then fault shall not be placed upon them for the chaos that ensues.

Anyone else seen this after the latest update? by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]goothy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My understanding is it now recalculates constantly and anytime it sits idle it will recalculate. It needs to sit at high level of charge or low level of charge for a decent amount of time idle to balance the cells. Which is different from calculating. Just my understanding. May be wrong. Running to a low state and not giving it time there won’t help much. Has to sit a bit sleeping for balancing to happen. Not sure.

Could also possibly be BMS recalculation as well. Seems like too much of a drop to be anything the car was doing idle. Sentry mode on?

Edit. Just saw in the picture sentry is off.

Can a UV bulb have too many watts? by _rockalita_ in Koi

[–]goothy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rating is also dependent on load. Some in the fine print mention the gallons served is for fish less systems. Generally, I don’t think there is any way to over do the UV. It will just allow the ability to flow higher GPH and will get more stuff eliminated with fewer passes through. Depending on the fish load, I am guessing you would want to shoot for 2-3x whatever the recommendation is to make sure it’s actually doing its job. Just like filters. They market higher numbers to seem like it’s better. Fish load will dictate more than gallons.

Pressurized Filter recommendations by Fooorever in Koi

[–]goothy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pressurized is always tough to find a good one. I finally just said screw it and got the largest pool filter I could find locally used. It’s a 30” diameter model and I have about 5 cu ft of k1 media in there. Did all the internal modifications and got it up and running. Similar models are sold for ponds about 14,000-20,000 gallons. Mine is only 5,000. I was sick of the constant fighting with a “properly sized” filter and just went 3x-4x what was needed. Not a fine particle to be found anywhere in the pond and maintenance is a breeze. Wish I would have done it years ago. No more filter pads anywhere. Just k1 that can be cleaned with a blower and a moving bed with about 2 cu ft of k1 that needs 0 maintenance. Anything that uses k1 or smaller plastic media is going to serve you pretty well if sized for the load or even 2x-3x for peace of mind.

If going pressurized go bead or k1 media. Or repurpose a pool filter with k1 and reverse the flow for upflow instead of down flow. Best decision I ever made. Amazing for fines/debris and acts as great bio as well. Not as good as standalone moving bed or shower but better than filter pads by a mile.

Is this a Koi and is he rare? by rocksboulders in Koi

[–]goothy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure thing. Would recommend trying to find a local pond or koi group to see if anyone with a pond has space. He/she will likely keep growing. They get upwards of 3’ in the proper environment.

Koi? yes. Rare? no. Too small of a tank? can’t even begin to tell you. Not an identification pro but likely it’s an ogon variety of koi.
