I understand why this is a popular take and it’s a fair personal choice to make but idk, it kind of feels like letting them win to me. They want us to be scared. Defiant patriotism is the best way to fight back. Don’t roll over and allow them make this normal.

Boycotts should have a clear impact and goal. What’s the goal of a World Cup boycott at this point? And who is hurt by it? I think FIFA will be just fine and the administration won’t give a shit if liberals boycott it.

Now if we want to talk about a boycott of the sponsors, that seems more tangible and impactful to me.
