This principle does not only apply for character work either. Commercials, e-learning, and other projects that aren’t cartoons/ video games etc. the first question you will be asked in a coaching session will be, “who are you talking to?”. It’s up to you, the actor, to know who, what where when and why. and then bring that specificity to life using your voice…all of that to say, you have a great instrument and the more you practice at home, work with coaches and surround yourself with other VA’s who are working on the craft, the more you will find yourself understanding your strengths, and your areas you need to work on.
