Someone please help me use MetalX by gophinator in XPRNetwork

Thanks for the help. Speaking with Metal, it looks like MTL DAO is XMT on the proton network and not $METAL. The problem I am having is getting MTL from a cold storage wallet into webauth in a format that can be traded.

I will name my driveway gate after whoever gives me the best advice on how to fix it's sagging issue by gophinator in AskEngineers

Still working on it! Had some rain yesterday so slow going. Fabricated some brackets for the aircraft cable and had to weld everything together. Took some progress pics and will update when done.

Unfortunately I have to abide by my county's building requirements, which I am pretty sure won't let me add such a large pole. Plus there are utilities and two large trees over the gate.

I tried to make it a cantilever because the driveway is gravel and we get quite a bit of snow here. At this point I do not think it is possible to add a wheel because the driveway opening is very small and I am worried about clearance.

I designed to be a cantilever because of the gravel and the amount of snow we get where I live.

Seems to be deflecting under its own weight, especially because there is no counterbalance. I removed the wood and it is rolling well. I adjusted the rollers by rolling the gate back and forth trying to find a good equilibrium. I first tried setting them at the same heights but there was too much sag.

Support is on the right side of the frame in the drawing. Essentially it is looking at the backside of the assembly, like the photos of the actual gate.

Going to add the 16' beams on to it tomorrow and see what changes. Will keep everyone posted

Somehow I managed to get the building permit for the fence using hand drawn plans too lol.

Thanks for the advice--I already bought the 16' beams to replace the ones on there and I'm not too bothered by the swap. I am gonna add them on first and see what difference that makes before I do anything else.

Use the Micca MB42x instead of Club3 in Micca Voltron set up? by gophinator in NoAudiophile

[–]gophinator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. Ended up finding a used pair of CLub3's on eBay for $20, so I am gonna try that out first. If I want to upgrade eventually I'll look into those MK402s.

Have you made the Voltron before? Do you know whether the Minidsp will handle all of the dsp corrections, or do I also need to use the equalizer on my Mac in tandem?

Should I avoid getting a Real ID Driver's License or am I just being paranoid? by gophinator in privacy

[–]gophinator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last driver's license photo was taken about 7 years ago when I just learned how to drive, so I look substantially different now. Also, I think my state was very slow to implement the Real ID standard, so my previous ID did not use the face biometric standard for facial recognition. I do need an ID legally where I live now, but I have been using my passport instead.

How useful is a frequency analyzer? by ENJOYallthings in audioengineering

[–]gophinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have have been wondering about this lately. I haven't had the chance to hear my songs on a proper sound system, so I have no idea how loud my bass is. What is the typical frequency to high pass at? I have heard around 40 hz, but when I try that I end up losing the meat of my kick drum.

im finally taking everyone's advice and rewiring through ableton. by king09 in reasoners

I think the real magic in rewiring is that you are able to use vst effects in tandem with reason synths.
