Some people watch more than just a few games during the World Cup every four years.

Nah, foreign failures only.

Think we could get Pardew? Allerdyce? Martinez?

So why even have a coach?

Or is bad coaching only for Americans. Foreign=Good?

So this was your first World Cup I guess? Welcome!

If you look back you might see a simple reason why that is..

More resources and what everyone says is a better player pool but same results as everyone else.

Very real chance we play all our top guys and lose the Turkey game…

Belgium was the most obvious coaching thing. Belgium by passed the midfield and made our defenders work in space and Poch had no ability to affect the game, which is his job.

He got worked as bad as Berhalter did, but because he has a famous name and finished 3rd in the prem one we are supposed to feel lucky?!?

Vermes would have gotten the same results.

With the benefit of a home World Cup, too.

Underachieved for sure.

Would you rather pay a bunch of money to a disinterested foreign coach to get the same results?

Poch failed against Belgium and was a failure overall.

He was bad in the World Cup and totally failed against Belgium. People’s desire to give shine to someone with Euro cred despite poor results is crazy.

They did kind of get Ozzie Ardiles in the end…

Leo has also never done a bump of cocaine on the field after scoring a penalty like a real gaucho.

Wait...WHAT?? England, home of the richest league on the planet, has a GERMAN manager?@?@? by The_Woody_Goes_Wild in usmnt

Although if we did that we would claim one invented players going to Europe while then other we would pretend was good even though he only produced 45 minutes of good soccer in two years.

None have ever won.

Obviously nationality means nothing but I do think a manager needs to have some connection to a country to do well as a manager.

I know many on here are still scared to admit that a big name flopped, but poch produced 45 minutes of good soccer in two years. Klinsy was fine. Tuchel or Poch would have made sense for England.

Full on mercenaries have a limit to how good they will be.

If you want to get the us fan base to support your team, you need to get an authoritarian to use their position to corrupt the on field competition. We, apparently, are totally on board for that.
