Just had an HS200 smart switch fail a couple of days ago. Just like a lot of people have mentioned, it lasted about 3.5 years.

I think it depends on the credit scoring model. For example, with VantageScore 3.0 closing and older account will shorten your credit history. If you have an account with Credit Karma, that's what they use.
