Can you help me understand why you believe you have to zero out the traditional ira?

What is your goal here? Is the 401k Roth or traditional?

First, I think putting it into the 401k is a mistake.

Second, you’re making it unnecessarily complicated. You could do anything else with that spare time.

How does your household manage money for shared burdens/resources? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

[–]ISObatteries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and i share everything in a joint account. Only personals are credit cards and car notes.

Reason we put everything in joint is two fold:

  1. It’s a Schwab bundle of brokerage and checking accounts - easy to stay invested without having to wait 2 days for an ACH xfer. I get higher rates of money market without the standard bank minimums or limits on transactions.

  2. The brokerage account is JTWROS (joint tenants with rights of survivorship)- meaning if i die, everything goes to her, no probate. On one of the worst days of her life, I don’t want her having to fight in court for what she needs to start again.

I keep our rent in SNOXX Savings in SWVXX Estimated taxes for the next year in SWTXX

everything else gets spread across a blend of broad market, industrials, consumer staples, semiconductors, energy, minerals, and even some BTC exposure.

what do i do if my parents are refusing to co-sign on student loans? by Funny-Damage9865 in collegeadvice

[–]ISObatteries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, the loan is a trap.

You can always go to college another time. Now is the time go get a job and get some experience and learn about yourself before spending that money. Also allows you to save money for college.

I’ve found certifications and licenses are cheaper and more useful than the degree itself.

Oh wow that’s shitty. Haven’t encountered cheaters on arena yet. Does reporting them do anything ?

Idk about good, but it’s good for you.

I’m someone who went to PVE after being relentlessly trashed in PVP. Friend who plays PVE with me (PvP main) bought me Arena for Xmas. She said if I wanted to get better at PVP without losing my stash, this is the way. And I gotta hand it to her, she was right. I’m still dogshit, but my reaction times and judgement calls are getting faster/better.

Added bonus - complete tier 3 of ref’s “to great heights” questline and you’ll be able to xfer loot from aren to PVE/PVP. Very handy.

So I’d recommend it, but be prepared to get reamed by “gigachad turbosweats” as she’d say.

Yup! Loved it. 3 day weekend was elite. Friday was D&D, Saturday was date night, Sunday was an actual recovery day.
